Forza Monthly Roundup | July 2022

After the impressive announcement that Forza Horizon had procured the Extreme E license, today's edition of the Forza Monthly shone a light on that as well as the upcoming Series 10 content.

Forza Horizon 5 News

This Monthly was purely focused on Forza Horizon 5.

Electrification Ensues

Forza Horizon continues a trend of electrification with the inclusion of Extreme E. The cross-country racing series' vehicle, Spark Odyssey 21, will be included in a free update with all the IRL team liveries.

The Spark Odyssey can be bought for 700.000 credits in the Autoshow or earned by collecting points during Series 10.

With this update, the upcoming Series 10 will include several special events exclusive to the Odyssey 21. The settings for those races are cross country and dirt settings.

This entire series' festival playlist will feature lots of EV events.

New Content in FH5 in Series 10

Apart from the Extreme E content, this Series features a few new classic Porsches.
  • Spark Odyssey 21
  • Porsche 356 Emory
  • Porsche 911 Carrera 2 by Gunther Werks
  • Porsche 917/20 "Pink Pig"
  • Porsche 911 Singer DLS
  • Hot Wheel Spectraflame Paint
  • Extreme E Race Suits
  • New Emotes "RAWR" and "SNAP"
Also, tomorrow will see the release of Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheels DLC.

Unfortunately, this monthly saw no news on Forza Motorsport 2023.

Glad I read this first before scrubbing through this Forza Monthly. Kind of disappointed, but I'll live. Hopefully the silence doesn't become deafening.

fancy trailer, yeah, so much pleasure to drive on this flat sandy surfaces, yeah, what an awesome car sound, yeah, the real 90 deg steering is sooo cool, yeah enough of irony.

Geezes what an boring extension and they celebrate it like hell.
I own this game and enjoy just to cruise around. But all this stuff in this game is so repetitive and meanwhile the coming back to it is less and less with every week.

Yup, was quite disappointed, especially seeing as last Monthly they said they'd share more "in the upcoming Monthly's" but hey. It's still probably a year away. There is some time to get news ;)

Afterwards it's like a pregnancy, not every ultrasound scan gives the desired result, the baby is hiding.

Patience, when it comes out it will make a lot of noise. :p

Man image if FH5 was a sim (with all these car's) god it'll be heaven
Imagine, before that, if instead of stupid kiddy fortnite-like minigames and cringey tex-mex fake stories, the game would be all about open world and proper racing.

I've piled up about 1400 hours on FH4, and I'm at 550+ hours in FH5 but game got boring fast and I'm the only left of my club still playing it.

But hey, wee! Hotwheels! What a blast!
Said (almost) no one ever.

Exactly.... i know what you mean.

Without all this usless kiddy stuff this game could be a great car enthusiasts game. Not a race game (FM is created for that).
If this game would go more into the direction of a serious game it would be nice.
Imagine to remove the possibility to blast with an hypercar/lowered cars beside tarmac (there are offroad cars for that), use more the advantage of open world like drive to a car dealer, add fuel system (go to a gas statation), car wash, tuning shops which you can visit, dinner places where you can meet with other drivers (for example).
The main focus is on the cars for sure.
New dlcs should contain proper cars and maybe small map extensions and not this usless hotwheel and lego stuff.
When they keep "their strategy" like that so probably we can expect in FH6 a Barbie-DLC or similar...

Watching a "race" of Extreme E makes you sleepy, a very short race, changing cars in the middle... Just to fool a boring echo a category like that
