More free cars will be added to Forza Horizon 5 with the next European Automotive game update via the Festival Playlist. An optional paid DLC pack will add even more, too.

While it is not a simulation title, our recent research shows that FH5 was the most-
played game on Steam in January 2024. Let us know in the comments below if you would like further updates about Horizon 5 in the future, or not.

A new Forza Horizon 5 update is in-bound, and with it comes the European Automotive Festival Playlist.

Four weeks of fresh challenges include eight cars new to the game to unlock, provided you earn enough points every seven days.

Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro Forza Horizon 5

  • Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro – Summer/Wet Season – 20 points
  • Lancia Fulvia – Summer/Wet Season – Complete a specific event
  • Volkswagen ID.4 ’21 – Autumn/Storm Season – 20 points
  • Citroen DS 23 – Autumn/Storm season – Complete a specific event
  • Mercedes-AMG SL 63 ’21 – Winter/Dry Season – 20 points (featured image)
  • Lotus Esprit – Winter/Dry Season – Complete a specific event
  • Mercedes-Benz 500E – Spring/Hot Season – 20 points
  • Volkswagen Dokka ’66 – Spring/Hot Season – Complete specific event
If the Aston Martin, at least, sounds familiar – correct, this same car arrived in Forza Motorsport in January with Update 4 as part of the paid-for Car Pass DLC. At least you don’t have to pay for this specific model again in FH5.

Mercedes-Benz 500E Forza Horizon 5

The asset sharing is becoming a bit much of late, with the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS part of Horizon 5‘s Super Speed DLC pack turning up in Motorsport earlier this month too. It seemingly works both ways.

Meanwhile, the VW is a humdrum electric SUV, the SL is the latest open-top GT cruiser from Affalterbach and the 500E is a legendary saloon – it was produced by Porsche for Mercedes, before it had integrated the performance AMG company as a subsidiary.

In a change to recent updates, the main festival playlist rewards are not fresh vehicles – The Ferrari 575M (80 points) and Audi RS 6 ’21 (160 points) are up for grabs.

EventLab 2.0 Tweaks

Dinosaurs Forza Horizon 5 EventLab

Six further dinosaurs will be added to EventLab 2.0, where you can create and share your own level designs. The latest prop decorations will be included via their own dedicated tab, too.

More ramps and platforms will be added too, some are without a seam. Different sizes of existing shapes complete the roster.

The Horizon Race Off Set For March

The Horizon Race Off Forza Horizon 5 March 2024 Update

Of course, the updates for Forza Horizon 5 don’t end there. The theme for the next Festival Playlist, slated for a 28th March 2024 launch, is “The Horizon Race Off.” Once again, new cars, collectables and challenges will arrive.

European Automotive Car Pack

Automobili Pininfarina Battista Forza Horizon 5 European DLC Pack 02

Available 27th February 2024, yet another paid DLC pack for Forza Horizon 5 will be arriving. No, it’s not part of the Car Pass or the premium versions of the game, much like the recent Chinese Lucky Stars set, which was released just last month.

This time, it will include:
  • Automobili Pininfarina Battista electric hypercar
  • Bentley Continental GT Convertible ’21
  • Mercedes-Benz AMG Hammer Wagon
  • Jaguar XE SV Project 8
It will be priced at £3.99/$4.99/€4.99.

“Let us know in the comments below if you would like further updates about Horizon 5 in the future, or not.”
Not.
Since you asked, I thought you deserved an answer.

In light of this being the most played racing game, it might be in the interest of RD to cover that part of the racing game market even if I have, like many around here, no interest in that type of game, I understand the appeal for the web site.
Also, it might be a sign, in light of what games (simulation) your usual readership are interested in, to stop those articles on what is most played every month, as what the overall steam population like, does not seem representative, in my opinion, of what the RD community is interested in.

Thank you for your feedback, greatly appreciated in terms of covering FH5 again (or not, TBC)

I don't think there is anybody here above the age of 13 who liked Forza, let alone actually play it. I would also like to add a +1 to Not covering it in the future. Thanks

I don't play FH5 but alot of people do. Keep the articles comming if people read them. Im sure your stats show if they are popular or not. If people don't want to read them, they could just skip them.

I'm not part of the community here, as in I just read the articles and don't post. But, I like racing sims and I like arcade racers. So keep the articles coming

To comment on the article though, I really don't understand why people buy DLC car packs on Forza Horizon games, it literally throws hundreds of vehicles at you! Why is there a need to buy more?

Ultimately, I think the more interesting decision isn't whether your current readership would like FH5 news, but whether you'd like to cater to this audience or not. If RD wants to cater to all sorts of motorsports games, rather than hardcore titles, it has the infrastructure for it, and I have no doubt that people will come, if they aren't turned off by the surly gatekeepers who think FH5 is for children and chime in with SIMCADE!!! whenever AMS2 is mentioned.

Man, im suprised you have access to internet all the way up there on that pedestal youve placed yourself upon. Maybe Elon really is onto something with that StarLink

At the ripe old age of checks notes 31 I still enjoy Forza Horizon quite a lot. Pretty sure the above comments have less to do with age and significantly more with po-facedness.
Quoted for truth.
I'm 38, and while I prefer to drive in AC or AMS2, I enjoy driving in more laid back titles on the regular. There's no way my father, who I'm assured is quite older than I am, can handle a real simulator, but he can have fun in arcade racers with me.

And hey, even if you were born in the 2000's and enjoy Forza Horizon, how is that... an issue?

i´m 51 and enjoy horizon as i enjoy racesims like iracing. you can create in horizon your own way to play it. maybe some people over 13 have lost their fantasy
