The biggest day in the lives of six sim racers is about to commence, as the Ferrari Velas Esports Series hits top gear for the Grand Final, where one lucky participant will realise their dreams to become an official, professional esports driver for the Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports Team.
Everything comes down to these final few moments of the series. All the sacrifice, all the blood, sweat and tears of the previous few months will become just a distant memory for the six Grand Finalists as we head into the last show of the season – the final opportunity for one of the North American or European drivers to achieve the ultimate prize of a paid, professional drive for Ferrari in the world of esports sim racing in 2023.
Developed as an initiative to allow aspiring virtual motorsports stars the opportunity to race for a seat at the official Scuderia Ferrari Velas Esports Team, the Ferrari Velas Esports Series has gone from strength to strength since it’s inception in 2019, and for this season, the challenge has been increased significantly for those taking part – with more than just simply their racing prowess set to be tested to the limit during this Grand Final event.
Beginning at 21:00 CEST / 15:00 EDT on the official Ferrari Esports Twitch channel, the Grand Final is set to consist of a range of activations and challenges for the drivers to overcome – all overseen by an expert panel of Ferrari judges who will be on hand to review and analyse how each driver copes with the pressure of an intense day of tests and competition.
Featuring guest spots for Ferrari team members Tiziana Mecozzi, Arthur Leclerc and Kamil Pawlowski, these six finalists will be under the microscope throughout the event – with only one winner set to take it all come the conclusion of the broadcast.
