While the first Deep Dive focused on gameplay mechanics and refined physics, the second video released ahead of F1 23's launch sets the spotlight on the return of the Braking Point story mode last seen in F1 2021, including Aiden Jackson, Casper Akkerman and Devon Butler as returning characters. The continuation of their story centers around the Konnersport team and spans both the 2022 and 2023 F1 seasons.

Cooperation with Jamie Chadwick

After being bitter rivals in the previous iteration of Braking Point, both Butler and Jackson face pressure by new Formula 2 champion Callie Mayer, who is vying to take one of their seats - and is Butler's sister. This new chapter was developed in cooperation with three-time W Series champion and Williams F1 development driver Jamie Chadwick.

Aside from the story itself, presentation of the cutscenes has been improved to become more lifelike. Additionally, players will be rewarded for completing chapters with certain amounts of performance and reputation levels. Branching storyline parts are tied to decisions that are up to the player in key moments, as well as their results.

Introducing Multiplayer Divisions

The second part of the Deep Dive shows what players can look forward to in the F1 World hub: In this central hub, several types of content come together. Visually, it is a continuation of the F1 Life mode introduced in F1 22. Challenges and events that are updated as the real F1 season progresses allow players to earn upgrades to improve their cars. Taking part in the F1 Esports Series and ranked multiplayer are also possible in F1 World.

For the latter, divisions are introduced, making Ranked Multiplayer "a global leaderboard of the best players in the world", according to the Deep Dive. Other EA Sports games have similar online features, as they can be found in the FIFA and NHL series, for example. Higher divisions earn Podium Pass XP bonuses. Meanwhile, the road-going hypercars that were first introduced in F1 22 make a return in F1 World as well.
