F1 22 | Alfa Romeo C43 and Game Pass


EA Sports just revealed Alfa Romeo's new 2023 F1 car inclusion into F1 22.

The car seems to be a new model entirely, and will only be available in time trial mode. This is the first time an F1 team releases their car in a video game before the start of the season - and even pre-season testing. This makes it difficult to expect full accuracy in terms of performance representation compared to the other cars already included in the game - especially as what appears to be mainly a marketing operation could also be used to try playing mind games.

An interesting thing to note is that the team's main sponsor for 2023, Stake, doesn't appear on the in-game livery. It probably has been censored due to gambling / advertising laws in some countries, which indicates it might not be featured on the real car either for a few Grand Prix.

On another note, F1 22 will be made available for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members from March 2.

I don't know you, but all these carbon cars and very little color to differentiate them feels very underwhelming. Specially coming from last year when the grid looked extremely sharp and each car had their own very distinct personality.

Regarding the censoring.
"As title sponsor, the platform will have a prominent place on the F1 car for 2023, but that does not apply everywhere. In countries where gambling advertisements are banned, the logo will be replaced by that of streaming service Kick"

Also, they've already made headline for having Stake on the car under the unveiling in Zürich, as it is forbidden in Switzerland...

I'm comfortable not having corporate drug dealers put there brands all over the gear in order to create more addict's, give them cancer and reap billions if not trillions of dollars in profit.

Personally I'd strip them of all their assets, put those that profited in jail and burn all memory of their companies.

Congratulations on not smoking as a child. It was no doubt in your favour that you weren't already an addict. The last thing people who are breaking addiction to something need is it being advertised to them.

You know what is pathetic, having a product known to cause cancer, is addictive and continuing to market it. Another thing that is pathetic, is knowing the social harm caused by gambling, it's addictive nature and advertising it in the most insidious ways imaginable.

It isn't just the addict that suffers. It's usually the children and partner of the person, and the community that has to pick up the pieces.

You can call passing a law to restrict that behaviour pathetic all you like, but change is constant. You can either get on board or fade away into irrelevance.

I was curious to the difference between a 2022 F1 car and a 2023 F1 car so I tried the Alfa. But, for me the difference between a sim (AC, rF2) and Codemasters F1 2022 is very big. I am not used to drive in the Codemasters game. So maybe that is why I could not feel the difference between the 2022 and 2023 Alfa. But are there experienced Codemasters F12022 drivers here who could feel the difference?
