Assetto Corsa | Official Radical SR3 XXR Mod Released

Radical Motorsport, working together with URD, just released a new mod for Assetto Corsa. Introducing the SR3 XXR, this officially announced mod is available to download here on RaceDepartment.

I still remember the days of the hype when KTM released the X-Bow officially for Assetto Corsa. Now, a relatively similar car has joined the roster and is available to drive in the 2014 racing simulator.

The mod, a joint venture between UnitedRacingDesign and Radical Motorsport, brings the new SR3 XXR to digital motorsport fans across the globe.

The Radical SR3 XXR

This newest edition of the SR3 model brings and updates design and engineering to the racetrack. It features:
  • liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder, 1340cc or 1500cc
  • biofuel ready
  • six-speed integral sequential gearbox
  • mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive
  • lightweight spaceframe chassis with FIA-specification safety cell
  • nik-link suspension
  • more features can be found on the official Radical website for the SR3

The Mod

In under 24 hours, the mod has already garnered almost 2000 downloads and has received staggering reviews so far.

The only critique points that exist are minor things. However, it receives great praise for being a fun and nimble car. Handling, sound and the detailed model receive praise across the board.

This mod is sure to handle single-car races well around, especially more complex tracks with many different corner situations. I can imagine tracks like Autodrom Most, Thruxton, Okayama and, surprisingly, Cadwell Park to work really well with this small and nimble car.
