ACC | Ferrari 296 GT3 Coming in April

Kunos just announced on social media an official release date for the Ferrari 296 GT3 in Assetto Corsa Competizione.

The car will be available on the Steam Store on 19th April, which indicates it will not be part of a free update - and not included on console versions of the game right now.

Other cars haven't been mentioned though, despite the fact we're expecting more to be added in the simulation this year. One reason might be the inclusion of the Italian brand's all new GT3 racer has been prioritised for it to be used in the Ferrari Esports Series, as announced in the trailer.

The Ferrari 296 GT3 features a new turbocharged V6 it shares with the 499P hypercar - without the complimentary electric powertrain of course. The turbochargers are fitted between the cylinder banks, angled at 120°, to reduce the center of gravity of the whole power unit in an effort to improve handling and balance.

As always ? New car(s), new hype, new performances, then they will tune the new car(s) and level things, and as always, what you thought of it, and felt driving it at the launch time will vanish.
Back to the tire simulation again.

Such a nice looking car, we have to give it to Ferrari, they know what they are doing.
With the level of quality and amazing details we get from Kunos, this, in VR, will be the closest I will ever be to that magnificent machine, bring it on.

i honestly dont understand the fascination with racing on the nordschleife in a sim.
its tedious, its narrow, almost impossible to overtake except on the long straight.
i have driven the real nordschleife many times and to me its only cool for hotlapping or in multiclass races if anything because then you have a different kind of action.
but there is a reason why you dont see the NS featured often in online mp races in the major sims.
for an actual race of one class a normal racetrack is better suited and you can have better door to door action while on the NS your biggest enemy are the curbs.

When has the Mustang GT3 raced, I don't know... Anywhere? Also, where has the C8.R raced in an SRO event? Customer teams haven't even received the C8.R they have ordered, yet.

I'm all for more content but geez, some of you guys want A.) Content that doesn't even fit the series or B.) Content that is still a year away from making its debut.
