10 Racing & Driving Titles to Look Out for in 2022

2022 racing games.jpg
We are quarter of the way through 2022 already, so far we’ve seen Gran Turismo 7 hit the shelves and Assetto Corsa Competizione receive a massive update for the latest generation of console - but what can we expect to see in the racing game and simulator genres for the rest of 2022?

There are of course a number of titles that will be due this year, that will not be a surprise to anyone. You know the franchises we are on about, they come out year after year. However, this year there are a few titles that are making a return after more than a year out and some very promising indie games too.

Here’s our list of racing games that you need to keep an eye out for, have we missed any?

There is still a lot of life left in the current sims with AMS2, rF2, ACC, AC, RaceRoom, iRacing. All of these except AC are still receiving new content regularly, but even AC still gets new great content (free and payed mods). On the list of new games, only BTCC may be interesting, but only if it will be a simulation and not an simcade or arcade game. But I am more interested in the Le Mans game by MSG, but that is scheduled for 2023 I think.

How much did they pay you to advertise these games?

mod-edit: any product placement you'll see on RD is labeled as "sponsored". This obviously isn't.

I'm interested in the new BTCC game, as I love touring cars. However, I don't trust the studio behind the title.

AMS2 has a DLC based on American racing coming up, most likely with oval racing. And there's a strong rumour that a new ACC track pack with American circuits is coming next summer. I'm looking forward to these two.

F1 2022 by EA will be interesting.

Looking forward to the Stroll Family DLC Collection. Each package features a different team, each one with a specific and coherent price tag, allowing you to skip F2 and all the boring career progression process and go straight to the seat of your favorite team's car. So you can start the game any way you want and be destroyed by your teammate, whoever he will be. But don't worry, as long as you play in the Stroll mode, you will never lose your contract.

oh man.....i forgot the BTCC game is supposed to release this year. Hopefully Motorsport games learned their lesson with Nascar Ignition

**** micro transactions, if they want that they are begging to be cracked and games to be pirated.
In fact, everyone should protest, not buying the game, so that they change their policies of exploitation of players.

It's no use crying, but when the game comes out, everyone buys, making huge profits and complaining.

Don't buy and complain to them via email and company forums.

We who pay for games have to govern the industry and not the industry govern us.

I wonder will F1 2022 come complete with the elephants that are tied to the back of the Mercedes.

Not remotely funny.

Hopefully, a completely different team of programmers is at work on the BTCC game.

Not much to look out for in 2022 if you are driving in VR. I am looking forward to AC2.

I don't expect much from this year, the ACC new tracks are the only worthy thing for me in 2022. I just hope that by the end of 2023 we can have the first screenshots and info about AC2.
