Hello! My name is John. Nice to meet you! For the longest, I have been a part of RaceDepartment but never uploaded anything. I never hopped onto any forums or offered any comments on RD. The only involvement I've had previously was in seeing some of the RaceDevelopment streams on Twitch and YouTube. Let me introduce you to the skin I have created and uploaded:
Anyhow, I want to mark my debut as a content creator for Assetto Corsa. I have developed maybe 40 or more skins for about 30 different cars in Assetto Corsa starting either in late 2017 or early 2018. All of those skins are from cars developed by Kunos Simulazioni. I have more interest in making my own designs rather than try to re-create actual liveries of actual cars. And I am also interested in trying a number of different livery styles ranging from unique street car skins to racing-type skins. One of those many skins I developed for a KS car is this- the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3. The livery for this car is of Sephora- a French retailer of beauty products. Yes- I even try to merge realms like fashion and beauty into my skin designs. The skin does not use any custom/bespoke helmets or suits. Driver and crew hear is of bone stock Assetto Corsa.
While my PC can not fully handle Assetto Corsa, I still have toned down settings enough to where I can test out my skins in-game. I use Content Manager to view my skins. The skinning itself was done using GIMP. Literally speaking, I decided to release this design as someone saw my portfolio and liked my Sephora AMG GT3. All I did was do a little checking and editing to make my skin stand out some more, and I then decided to perform my first-ever release of an Assetto Corsa skin. Because this is my first AC skin upload, I will learn what I need to do for when I decide to release more skins to this fine site.
This file is meant to be uploaded onto the main Assetto Corsa folder. Unzip the contents, and then cut the "contents" folders from the ZIP file. Afterwards, paste that "contents" folder into your main Assetto Corsa folder. It should install everything properly. Then all you need to do is open Assetto Corsa, pick the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT, select the skin of mine you downloaded, and go race!
