I have the forced pitstops implemented now, haven’t gotten a way to change tyre types yet though.
Im running csp 1.80 preview and it seems the previous version works fine,but this version does seem to do anything, it cannot even be activated. Its just a blank rectangle block. as mentioned the previous version works fine. (i deleted all old files and tried, still nothing happening)

I'm having an error like it seems to have loaded properly but a popup window is shown with the text "AN ERROR HAS OCURRED" can anyone help me ?
I've been using RARE for about a year now. And it's really dang good. But the latest version has a nagging problem. It seems like about half the tracks I use it on, when I inject RARE, it loads back in, and then in the bottom right it will give me a flag that says "an error has occurred". But as far as I can tell, it's functioning properly. But that error window floats on top of any other window/app/whatever I'd have open. And I can't move it, it snaps back into place.

EXCELLENT FOR SINGLE RACE ! now AI pits to change their tyres , and you can control if they also refuel or no with the pitstops .

Debug is easy to read , options easy to see ,

HOWEVER ;

Something not clear that i noticed with time : to give AI full tank of fuel just open the settings and go to the AI tab , this will refresh the AI settings ( for example you set ai to pit between 20 an 40% tyre life , you can see the exact pit time for each AI in the debug , for example ai X will pit on 27% tyre life , when you click on AI tab this will change every 1 second , the fuel also will be filled every one second , so just press on AI tab then go back to the RULES tab ; dont stay on the AI tab )


BUG Experience :
in weekend format :

the mod runs perfectly in single race , but for a weekend with practice / qualify / race , i troubleshooted for about 4 hours and what i noticed is :

1. if i run a practice that is less than 4 minutes , after it the AI will keep spinning in place and hitting the pit walls in qualifying , not all of them , but some of them do and never be able to leave the pit lane to qualify .

2. if i set a practice session of 4 or 5 minutes , play some of it and then skip without finishing it , the same happens .

3.if i play a practice session of 4 or 5 or more minutes and finish it , ai will behave normally in qualify and i can play qualify normal.

4. if i SKIP the practice session from the content manager so you dont start it at all ( you launch with just qualify and race ) , qualification will also works fine , AI will leave the pit lane and they will qualify fine .

Conclusion , either not play any practice or play 4+ minutes and FINISH them to be able to play the qualifying without bugs

After qualification , in race start i have to press AI tab before race begins on the settings app to fill their fuel tanks , then i fill mine and select the RULES tab so they don't have full tank forever and their settings dont keep changing every one second . after this there are two cases :

__Case 1 : if i skipped the qualification before it ends ( play some then press esc , skip session , most of the time the race works fine , but the grid is somewhat randomized since some if not most of the AI didnt play the qualifications .

__Case2 : if i finished the qualifications , most of the time some of the AI will hug the pit lane wall right at the race start .

i had some cases where the mod worked well in full weekend with practice, qualify and race . in those cases i had a practice of 5 minutes and finished it , then qualify for 6 or 7 minutes and also finished it , afterwards in the race AI behaved normally ( filled ai fuel before starting the race by clicking on AI tab and then back to Rules tab ofc ) . but sometimes they just decide to hug the pitwall at the start of the race .

I hope this helps you solve the issue @Schmawlik . the mod is awesome and i honestly would pay for it if it worked in championship and weekend format . but there seems to be an AI issue when going from a session to another . first session always works fine , second session can be hit or miss tho .
Great app overall - but for some reason from today I am now getting an error message with CSP 1.79, even if I roll back to the 1.15 version. In-game it says 'RARE - an error has occurred'. Even though it is 'injected', and giving me the options, and seems to be working (cars pit and DRS works). Any ideas?
Works perfect so long as you follow the install instructions, simple enough

Now if you can figure out how to add a mandatory pitstop with tire change for the ai. Wow that would be killer

It is awesome!!! But I have a question: does it affect online mode? Because now everytime i try to play on a server shows me a "checksum" error :(

[BUG] On a weekend format or championship format, the ai drivers seem to drive into the pit wall at the race start, i'm guessing some think they are still in quali and go for the pit line?

Apart from this the mod is brilliant

As a programmer, I was very excited by the possibilites created by adding LUA scripting to AC through CSP. Your work has far exceeded my expectations for what was possible. Thank you sincerely for your continued dedication to this project!
Nothing short of a dream coming true. A huge blow on Codies F1 and the artificial limitations EA impose over our experience. For us single players, I think the only thing that is missing is randomized AI tyre strategy, but I'm sure that this will eventually become true now that you guys have cracked the code. I have immense admiration for what you have done and made available for free, it may sound a bit exaggerate but it shows that humans indeed can be good.
I've been following the development of this app for a while now, since the former f1regs name and its evolution. I can honestly say that this is the way, the lua app userspace is what this platform needed and these are the amazing results. I know time will polish out all the rough edges brought to you by all the software cohesion in the stack (i'm looking at you csp). I'm sure more apps will follow suit and bring custom racing rules and the posibility for custom car screens and messaging. I'm excited.

Hello. I do not know what happened, but after the update I have constant problems. The strange thing is that in the first round I can open DRS (bots can't), but after the second round (when opening DRS is allowed) I can't open it anymore. That is, we can say that it works the other way around. Please help me with this problem.Cheers
Game Changer mod for AC / must have. Hoping you will consider porting AI force for tyres or fuel as new app so can be used with other classes of cars in AC.

Hey Cozy, I actually made this so I could use it myself with your custom championship :)

Feel free to do with it as you please.

As for other cars working with the script, just add the script.lua file that is in the RSS data folder to any vehicle of your choice. The biggest potential issue is the AI might be a little slower than acceptable. If that is the case I can help you adjust it till it works as desired.
Awesome! This is really fun for simulate a real F1 race.
Can you add an option to force all AI cars to make at least 1 pit stop during the race? Even better if it forces to change compound, like in the real regolations.
Frustrating to see so many folk leaving negative reviews because they are incapable of reading instructions and/or learning.

This is absolutely incredible, and is one of the most important, yet simple mods for F1 on this website. Really intrigued to see how this develops further.

The fact that this can be used online only adds to how great this really is.

I love this mod but I'm getting issues in practice / quali where cars will just do donuts and very few will make it to the track to set a time, some will end up driving backwards down pitlane - I don't think its to do with the mod itself but maybe the extended physics? Have you come across this issue from anyone else?
