PureLIFE PPFilter-Pack for Assetto Corsa 4.2.1

Hey guys, since early 2022 I'm sharing my PureLIFE PP filter here. What began with just one filter is now a pack of five (the SOL-variant included).

Although every filter is has the "base" PureLIFE genes, they all deliver a different look. For my future development and update plans I would like to know:

What's your favourite one of the pack and why?​

1. PureLIFE (base): a natural filter with only some small tweaks and adjustments. Delivers a clean and realistic look like seeing it with your own eyes

2. PureLIFE EVO: brings a bit more dynamic into PureLIFE with autoexposure and "optimized photo look" support

3. PureLIFE EVO GT: Gran Turimso inspired filter based on EVO with different tonemapping, more dynamic, glare and rich colors

4. PureLIFE EVO GTS: The latest filter based on EVO with a more dramatic appearance and with advanced Autoexposure mode support (Pure 0.115+)

5. PureLIFE for SOL: like the name reveals... PureLIFE (base) for SOL.

So, Peter released the latest Pure Dev Preview a few moments ago. No more needs to drive with filters that has Pure 0.75 optimizations . And it's time to boost PureLIFE EVO GTS with Pure's new advanced autoexposure mode.

• with pure 0.115 PureLIFE EVO GTS supports now advanced Autoexposure mode. With the new version of Pure its possible, to dynamically mix Cubemap based exposure (CBE) and YEBIS autoexposure (AE). This will give the ppfilters a much better adaption to the current visible scenery, but they are still solid in their controlling, to avoid those known and realy bad AE fluctuations.
• supports "Lambert Gamma" (coming in future CSP-versions) which brings a great improvement of evening and sunset sceneries

Hi there. If the new PureLIFE EVO GTS Filter 2.0 is too dark for you at night, you can easily raise the brightness in the LightingFX tab in CSP settings:

Try these changes:
Brightness 120%
Headlight wideness: 160%
Optional for better look: Cars lit multiplier: 45%
Optional for better look: Headlights on Interior: 48%

Ifyou want to try my CSP settings to get the look from the videos and screens, download the new package and import it. Sharing isn't possible atm due CSP server problems. Filter-Version is still 2.0!

ATTENTION: PureLIFE EVO GTS contains features that will be unlocked with a future update of Pure and CSP. I tried my best to make it also look nice on current versions but it's even getting better in the near future. All pics and videos are captured with these upcoming versions of Pure and CSP!

Hi AC-fans. As announced I'm proud to present a new update on my PureLIFE-FIlter pack. This release brings some small adjustments to the previous filters and contains a new one: PureLIFE EVO GTS

GTS is a bit different because it combines a new vibrant and rich look with the efficiency of the PureLIFE filters. GTS looks really stunning and brings again 2-5 FPS. Try it, i'll hope you like it. If you do, please left me a short review and rating.

Hey folks. Beta tests are looking promising for a soon release. It's a bit tricky because the new filter contains features that will come with a future update of Pure and CSP. Still needs some tweaks to make it also look nice on current versions.

Hey mates, long time no see. I was very busy with my job and some private things within the last weeks. Sorry for that. But I'm still working on my filter pack and there will be a new version within the next two weeks.

PureLIFE PPFilter-Pack for PURE and SOL 2.0 will contain updated versions of my previous filters and a brand new one... the PureLIFE Evo GTS.

As you can see in the two short clips, my new PURE-filter is quite different compared to the previous ones in terms of the colors, contrast, exposure and reflections. I really like the new look. But you will decide when it's released. By the way.... What you see is what you get when you use this filter. No additional scripts, addons or software needed.

Today I'm releasing a new update for my filter pack. As the days outside gets longer again i noticed that the vilibility at night could be better so you can race on daytime without closing the shutters at home.

To make this happen with of EVO and EVO GT I reworked the complete brightness and exposure control that pure offers and the result is quite nice I think. The base PureLIFE filter only got some small "tuning" because my goal at this filter -you know- is the clean simple look and te lighting that pure delivers so day is day and night is night.

Okay, that was a bit too much glare in some situations for PureLIFE Evo GT, sorry for that

The great advantage if you have three filters in the pack is that you don't need to have that "one" that fits on everybody. My personal favourite is still the base filter and now I can tweak it (and the others) for what they're originally intended for.

With the awaited release of Pure 0.75 it's time to release the update 1.5 of my PureLIFE filter-pack. As announced the new version features two new filters, the PureLIFE EVO and PureLIFE EVO GT.

PureLIFE EVO was actually planned for version 1.2 but some of the new things requires Pure 0.7+ so I had to wait for Peter to finalizing it. PureLIFE EVO is a decent evolution of the base PureLIFE filter which has a slightly "enriched" look and supports the new exposure and vao control and the new "optimized photo look" via Pure config app. To make this possible a special .lua script is needed which is part of the .zip and will be copied to the right destination.

PureLIFE EVO GT was inspired by the upcoming release of Gran Turismo 7. While watching the new showcase I thought it would be nice to have a great running filter that is based on my EVO filter but with a more vibrant and filmic look... The new filter itself has a decent glare, more vibrant colors, different contrast and more. To enhances the GT-look I've created a custom pure config that reduces the ambient lighting, changes the sky hue and saturation, daylight exposure and some more things. BTW: the config looks superb with PureLIFE & PureLIFE EVO too. Try it.

Recommendation & setup:
To have the best look in Assetto Corsa you should check your monitor settings. I’ve made the best experiences with resetting the monitor to factory settings, then turn on game mode and let the contrast, brightness and colors on default or tune it only in small steps.

⦁ Remove the old ppfilters first. Go to Steam folder -> steamapps -> common -> assettocorsa -> system -> cfg -> ppfilters and delete all .ini-files that contains "pureLIFE".
⦁ Install the new files. To do that simply copy the content of assettocorsa folder in the ZIP to your local assettocorsa folder. Overwrite if asked.


Prepare Pure config app: (and use custom “PureLIFE_EVO_GT” settings as default)
⦁ Start game and open pure config app
⦁ To try the custom settings, simply import “_PureLIFE_EVO_GT.config.ini”. If you like it and want to use is as standard, just head to step 3.
⦁ Be sure that you use the default pure settings (click “IMPORT” then choose “pure_config.ini”
⦁ Export actual pure_config.ini as default: On the bottom click “EXPORT”, “Save as…” and name it “default” or something.
⦁ Import “_PureLIFE_EVO_GT.config.ini”
⦁ Click “SAVE” (on the bottom). IMPORTANT! This sets it as default.
If you want to revert back and set the original pure settings as default, simply repeat the steps 5 & 6 but choose “pure_config.ini”.

Runs still great with a very low performance hit. If you want to get the look even closer to GT, import the custom settings as explained in “Prepare Pure config app:”

So... while Pure is still being optimized by Peter (it will be HUGE!) I used the time in tweaking the base PureLIFE Filter a bit and improving PureLIFE EVO (which was planned for version 1.2) and.... watching the GT7 showcase... and.... thought it would be nice to have a great running filter that is based on my EVO filter but with a more vibrant and filmic look...

A few days later it's time to share some information first impressions with you. First... all filters are running great without a custom pure config but for PureLIFE EVO GT I've created one that enhances the GT-look. I reduced the ambient lighting, changed the sky hue and saturation, daylight exposure and some more things. BTW: looks superb with PureLIFE & PureLIFE EVO too. The new filter itself has a decent glare, more vibrant colors, different contrast and more. Maybe you like it. If not, just enjoy the new version of PureLIFE and the enhanced PureLIFE EVO that brings you the familiar "real" look (or my interpretation of that )

First of all.... many many thanks to my PayPalMe-supporters. I did not expect that but it boosts my motivation to develop version 1.2 which contains a lot of nice new things. Again... thanks!!!

Unfortunately... Peter needs some more time to finalize the upcoming PURE-version which supports my new 1.2 filters and so I decided to release a small update to correct the glare that was too heavy in some specific situations.

Version 1.2 and the new PureLIFE_EVO filter which supports the new exposure and vao control and the new "optimized photo look" via Pure config will be released when the new Pure version arrives. Believe me... These new functions are a big step and the new filters are looking quite
