Ofcourse you can. Just drop contents of mods/lotus_exige_v6_visual into your main ac folder. Dont forget to make a backup of files that you overwrite.
Jsgme is just simple overwrite control utility that allow you to revert your changes back after mod apply.

Nice work - would love a version with the roof lopped off, as I just love this car in Assetto, but driving open top in VR is awesome..is it possible to do a version minus the hardtop? thanks

Very nice. But even if I don't know what you fixed in Update 1, now the directory structure is definitely faulty. It lacks the mod name in the MODS folder.
