But I think we still need a little adjustment. 1 Stop strategies are too simple. I can almost always start with medium and finish with hard - due to the short race distance you can't drive out the time with one stop more.

My suggestion: The hard and medium tire must be slightly slower than the soft so that the first 10 places are not penalized because they have to start with soft.

One should be able to catch up with a 2 stop strategy with a fresh set medium e.g. opposite a hard old set - approx. 20 seconds around drivers on a 1 stop Stratgie to overtake to be able. Of course, other factors also play a role, such as car performance and driver performance.

You are right ! .
You point out the main difficulty to get a good balance for this kind of mod.
In fact, that was the case with my version for F1 2020, the hard / medium compounds were slower.
But in fact the "window" to set the grip, at race start is not that big. By reducing more the grip of hard ccompounds, the consequences were to have enormous difficulties to maintain a certain grip on HARD.
To give you a comparison, in this version, the C1 lose 6pts of grip at start-up compared to the original one, and will lose 2 times more grip after wear than the original C1 compound.

A lot of players weren't comfortable with it, but it was mandatory to be able to "waste" enough time saved by making 1 pit stop less, over a 25% race time. This means losing more than 3 seconds/laps compared to other cars with med or soft tires.
I tried to compensate by increasing the slipstream effets to help bots to overtake and let to the first 10 more chance to come back on second half part of the race.

The result today is not perfect, the bots at the start of the second half of the grid have a better chance of succeeding, especially on tracks with difficult overtaking.

So, i started this week to looking at a new version with only 1 pit stop only for all the grid but with a real challenge for the decision making for the undercut/overcut.
I think it's perhaps the best solution to optain an equilibrium, and to forgot the 2 pits stops vs 1 pit stops on a 25% race length.

So great, and i followed your guide to add livery. It's to complex for me, everytime i get to the DDS section, im not understanding a thing. I can't find livery_d.dds and livery_s.dds. But anyway great work, and thank you for your hard work trying to explain it. Much appriciated

Yes it's not easy the first time.
The main step is to understand the principle, after it's really easy.

If you have 2 files like livery_d.dds and livery_s.dds, you "just" need to replace/import this 2 files in the ERPs files of cars concerned by my team.
You will need to "choose" which cars livery you want to replace. So you need to find for example the akkerman liveries with EGO ERP Archiver.
You open the ERP file and you search in TEXTURE part :
example :
livery_akkerman_01_d.tif
livery_akkerman_01_s.tif

You replace the TEXTURE part for this 2 textures.
And you do the same operation for the 5 ERPs file inside fom_car, my_team_xxxxx

There is some tutorials on youtube I think.

Hello great mod! Love it. But as you described to kuba361, about instaling livery mod and your mod at the sametime, you made a guideline to instal both. I got no idea what you are talking about when you say XML File and the other code words :D? Can you make a toturial or something? Can't you just copy paste both?

Hi, Great mod really appreciate your work :) . Do you know if there is possibility of playing with your mod and car livery mod ? Cause when i install car livery mod, your tires mod dissapear from my car :(

Hello Kuba.

Yes it's possible for sure, but you need to make some small modifications on your car livery to "merge" some datas.

Inside the directory :
\2021_asset_groups\f1_2021_vehicle_package\teams of your game directory, there are datas of each cars for F1 2021.

If you install a livery for "My Team" for example, you need to update the ERP files of your livery with the XML files of other mods like this one.

The best way i think is :
1) you modify the files of your livery, for example the 4 ERP files of My Team inside myteam_ferrari, myteam_honda ...
That's why i let the XML files of each cars with my mod. You have just need to "re import" this XML files inside the ERP files of your livery to merge both, and you save your "new" ERP file.
With EGO ERP Archiver.
2) after, you install this mod first for example,
3) and your livery after with the ERP modified.
