1.2 Changelog

Before I continue onto the changelogs, I would like to apologize for my 4 month hiatus, I have not been constantly working on this pp filter but I have done some small changes over time. I kinda took a break from the AC but recently I've came back with a fresh mindset and decided to update the filter to make it look a lot better.

First of all, the contrast in version 1.1 was low, extremely low. That was the first thing I wanted to change and so I did, it no longer looks like you have a matte filter over the game but instead looks a lot more realistic

Besides the obvious contrast changes I also spent a bit of time finding out what the optimal saturation would be, I personally found it a bit low in 1.1 so I turned it up a bit to make the colors look more like real life. This combined with the contrast already makes for improved visuals.

Another big change I implemented into the pp filter, is the use of SSAO, aka Screen space ambient occlusion, for more information, on what SSAO is, read this

At last I did some small changes to the white balance as it was slightly too yellow in some scenarios which made white cars look funky, this is also fixed now.

1.1 Changelog

I've applied a few changes, tweaks and fixes in this new version! The first and main change being the sky, I've done a near complete sky overhaul. I've redone the glare and godrays completely to achieve a much more realistic look. As you can see in the images below, there have been some massive changes made in the filter, especially the sky.

In these comparisons, the changes made to the sky are clearly visible! I didn't only change the sky though, I also messed around with the white balance, exposure and color in general. I tried to get the images to look brighter without creating a nuclear warzone in the background. As you can see in the comparison down below, the sky is a bit blown out, which will most likely be fixed in the next update. Overall the images has some noticeable improvements.

And at last, the color corrections. I messed around with the color settings and mainly the white balance, just finding that perfect middle point between yellow and blue to get it to look just right. As you can see in the example down below, this just adds that slight realism in the car itself and its shadows.

Unlike last time, I included a few more things in the package this time. Namely a folder for Content Manager presets, including presets for both the Assetto Corsa video settings and a Custom Shaders Patch config. There are currently 3 different Assetto Corsa presets and a singular Custom Shaders Patch config. There will be more in the future. More information on these are in the README.txt which is also now included within the download. The README.txt file also has information on how to install it if you are unsure how to do it.
