Only 55 Austin Healey 100S were produced, their primary purpose was for racing
and rally events. They were entered into races such as Sebring, Mille Miglia
and Le Mans. They were copies of a factory test car that Stirling Moss raced
in the 1954 12-hour Sebring race. With a light-alloy body shell and 4 wheel
disc brakes, most were decorated with the American racing colours, white and blue.
Many thanks to InsaneDruid for his help with the 3d Models.
GTL Workshop and Clevy 911 for help with Physics
To DucFreak for permission to alter and use his sounds.
To se7en for the period racing mirror.
To James_1 for permission to use his driving lights.
Cars are:
#26 Lance Maklin: 1955 Le Mans
#32 Chassis number AHS 3601.
#33 Historic Racer
#36 John Roxburgh: Australia.
#44 Sterling Moss SLP-258B Sebring

V2 Update by sunalp2 & Don Panoz
I have been working on an update for quite some time, but Don Panoz offered to help, so as a result it is finally done.
Body updates by Don Panoz include cock[it updates, closing cockpit, tonneau cover, correct driving lights and aero screens.
Body updates by sunalp2 include replacing and shifting fuel filler, shifting exhaust to other side of car.
Physics updates by Don Panoz include replacing my original physics with stock AH 3000 from GTL and fitting LM55 mod tyres.
Extract to your main GTL folder. Car will show up in GTC-65 with the GTL AH 3000 and the LM55 mod.
I released two add on cars for the original mod, these have been included in V2 so no issues will be encountered.

WARNING: This version differs from V1 available at Altbierbude due to their specific class structure.

Originally released as skins. With the .cas file that was included with the Roadster
by InsaneDruid, I realised it could be released with its own physics.
If you have my 100s skins in your Austin Healey 3000 folder, delete them to avoid
confusion. Will not overwrite any original files.
Installation: Extract to a temporary folder.
Install the GameData folder to your main GTL folder and say ‘yes to all’
when prompted, and save the extra Chassis and Tex files somewhere safe.
With the racing mirror, unfortunately the LCD display and the rev light don't work.
I have been pondering this for quite some time as I prefer the racing mirror.
As this Healey was from 1955, I decided to release it without the LCD and Rev light.

Car Histories:
Number 26
1955 Le Mans drivers: Lance Macklin & Les Leston
Whilst looking for more 100s Healeys to do, I came across this famous (or infamous)
100s driven by Lance Macklin. This was the car which was innocently involved in the
tragic accident at the 1955 Lemans, which claimed 82 spectators and Pierre Levegh,
the driver of the Mercedes 300 SLR which launched into the crowd after colliding
with the back of the Healey at the end of lap 35. Lance Macklin was the son of
British automotive entrepreneur Noel Macklin, founder of both the Invicta and
Railton car companies. He competed in Sports car and F1 events, as was the trend
in those days, from 1952 till 1955. His highest finish's in F1 were and 8th place
in the 1952 GP at Zandvoort, and an 8th place in the F1 GP at Aintree in 1955.
The period photo shows the start of the 1955 race. Both Pierre Levegh's #20
and Macklin's #26 cars can be seen near one another.
Number 32
Chassis number AHS 3601.
One of the few cars to be shipped from the Factory that was not painted White over Blue.
This car was purchased in October 1955 by Vickery Motors of New Zealand.
Known race history:
Barney Giller, February 1956: 1st Southland Road Race at Ryal Bush. Finished 8th.
Max Richards, January 1959: NZ GP at Ardmore. DNQ
January 1959: Lady Wigram Trophy at Wigram. Finished 15th
The car was finally written off and does not survive.
Number 33
The Austin Healey 100S was produced in limited numbers, only 55. Their primary purpose
was for competing in racing and rally events as well as for development and
marketing purposes. They were entered into races such as Sebring, Mille Miglia and Le Mans.
They were copies of special factory test car that Stirling Moss raced in the 1954
12-hour Sebring race where he placed third. The 100S's were produced at the Healey
Warwick factory and most were decorated with the American racing colors, white and blue.
Of the 55 that were built, only 10 remain unaccounted for. The 100S, when compared
with the 100, featured Dunlop disc brakes on all four wheels, different cylinder head
and internal engine modifications, four-speed gearbox without overdrive, and a
light-alloy body shell. I asked InsaneDruid to help me fit his Roadster grill to the car.
Not only that, he supplied me with a special grill that he was working on, and also
changed the model to remove the side vents, and the hood scoop. He also went over all
the files when I got the GMT files all muddled up. Without his help this car would not
look as good.
Number 36
Driver: John Roxburgh.
John Roxburgh competed in many Saloon and Sports car events in Australia from the late
50's until the mid 70's. He won the first Armstrong 500 held at Philip Island on
20 November, 1960, with co-driver Frank Coad in a Vauxhall Cresta. Not the most
obvious choice for a racing car. He later became President of CAMS (the Confederation
of Australian Motor sport) and Australia’s representative to the FiA. The period photo
is of John competing at Philip Island.
Thanks again to InsaneDruid for all his help with the 100s
Number 44
Chassis number SLP-258B
1955 Sebring 12 hour.
Drivers: Stirling Moss & Lance Macklin
Finished 6th. 6 laps behind the Briggs Cunningham Jaguar D Type driven by Mike Hawthorn
This was the first designated 100s to be raced by the Donald Healey Motor Company.
In the previous year they had campaigned a modified 100M, also driven by Stirling Moss, which was to become the basis for the production 100 'S' (Sebring).
Number 700
This car was entered by Donald Healey in the 1955 Mille Miglia.
Driven by George Abacassis, Number 700 finished 11th overall, and 5th in its class.
Cars which competed in the Mille Miglia were assigned a number according to their starting time.
This car left the starting blocks at 07:00 hours. This numbering system enabled spectators
to know how well a car was doing if it passed by them ahead of a car with a later time.
