well i used real life tree placements for 90% of trees, so that should be true to life...

i get like 2 fps at times... and it doesnt look better than HD 2d trees. these 3d tree mods are the most useless mods for a racing game.

Well, performance hit is too be expected, but 2 fps is obviously exaggerated. For me and other testers, the game still runs at a smooth 70-110 fps instead of normally 100-150 fps. So at a MAXIMUM (like maybe 2% of the track) it would drop by 50% but never below that. And I doubt you normally play at 4 gps. And if you think 3D trees are useless, then I have no problem with you sticking to the 2D trees. But leaving a review on something you generally don’t like doesn’t make sense to me.

FPS impact is huge, but I do not give a "$§%&#... It looks outstanding! 10/10

Looks visual stunning. FPS is almost tolerable at 40fps average through the track with resource heavy PPfilters + max graphics and 8k textures Nordschleife pack. Unfortunately without 60fps I won't use this at the moment but I will keep watch to this mods progress.

try using the advised tips for performance, things like reducing shadowmaps help a LOT for performance

It's not until you go back that you realise how much of a difference this makes - The 2D trees look comparatively awful in place of this mod.

But I did go back, ultimately. The quantity of trees is huge and I think some license could be used to reduce the number a bit, but also I think there could do with being some variation in colour in the trees, as they all seem to be the EXACT same colour, which is slightly offputting.

I give this mod four stars because I can appreciate the tonnes of hard work put in to make this mod, and it does look much better, but I think it could do with some more.

Phenomenal work! Tanks my fps quite a bit with my maximum csp settings but damn.. for photos I can easily fool someone that it's gt7 or even real life. Keep making these cause these are game changers.

I like the number of trees, but they are too dark, in shadow parts nearly black.

if you are talking about my preview video, i gotta be honest, i didnt choose the best weather. Its mostly dark in the shadows anyway, regarding of the trees. When you skip through the video you can find parts where more sun shines down on them, that brightness then is their true one.
