Original NoGrip description:

The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe merges classic 60's American muscle car style, with cutting edge engineering, high quality materials and top end components.

Unlike many of its rivals, the Daytona Sports Cars Coupe was designed as a race car that could be driven on the road, not a road car converted to a racer.

The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe is powered by a General Motors V8, with the option of LS1 Alloy 5.7L, LS2 Alloy 6.0L, and LS7 Alloy 7L engines, The LS7 being the Premium specification option, with Dry Sump, Titanium Connecting Rods, and Sodium cooled valves as standard. All engines are fitted with Drive by Wire. For a road registered car, a G.M.H. Engine Management System is standard, while a competition car is fitted with a MoTeC M800 ECU. Competition cars also have the option of Dry Sump, A.T.I. Harmonic Balancer, Modified Camshafts, C.N.C. Cylinder Heads, and a Daytona Sports Cars Multiple butterfly inlet manifold. Road cars are fitted with Daytona Sports Cars Exhaust headers, and noise test approved, rear exiting exhaust pipes, while Competition cars can run side exiting pipes. Cars that do not option a Dry Sump system, can be fitted with an optional Air Conditioner.

September 8th, on the start line of Stage 1, Peter Brock's words to navigator Mick Hone ... "We can win this one Mickey".

Anyone reading this would most likely know that Peter Brock passed away on the following stage in an accident (slid into a tree) at approx 10:50am.

It had been only been a six month relationship between Peter Brock and Daytona Sports Cars, but it will remain the most significant and enjoyable six months the small company will ever experience.

Australia has run out of superlatives to describe Peter Brock, but at Daytona Sports Cars, will remember him as a Gentleman of the highest order.

R.I.P. Peter 'Brocky, Peter Perfect' Brock, we all miss you.

Mod is fitted with a 435hp @ 6000rpm HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) 'Enhanced' 5.7L LS1 (NOTE: version 2 uses a 438hp @ 6400rpm LS1), TREMEC TKO-600 5-speed with 0.82 5th gear and all optional GM 12-bolt diff ratios and special Bridgestone Potenza tyre compound as used by Brock in that fate-full event.

A big thank you to 'Zoomie' for allowing me to 're-release' his original 'Tribute car', and to DucFreak for his modified Daytona sounds, thank you guys. Will show in showroom as 'Daytona Sports Car'.

Cheers and enjoy,
Bruce
Crocko 05.

Added comment: The '05' Daytona Sports Car has been completely rebuilt in recent years with only the passenger (LH) door being the ONLY original panel used from the wreck.

--TO INSTALL-- Download to a temp location of your choice, un-pack and copy 'DaytonaSportsCar' folder directly to your 'GTC-65' folder. Will not overwrite original Daytona installed in game.

Thank You
Excellent work Bruce. I don't know how I missed this at NG, but your Pantera 5000 and Corvette have been in my GTL stable since I can remember. Thanks for your beautiful mods, and welcome to Race Department!

I've still got the Pantera 5000 car files, but I've lost the sound file for it. From memory it came from a GTR2 F1 mod. Will have to search and see if I can get it back up and running and upload it.
