F1 2010 Silverstone - Great Britain (Dry)

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Hi Mark,
this is a different topic and hope you can help me. I read somewhere in the forum that in some tracks you must set the engine to fast manually coz going through standard setup mode doesn't work always. If you are aware of this problem, would you mind telling me how to do that ? I'm a pc wheel user (dunno if this info is needed but just for your info).

Thx in advance

dont use this set up for hrt bmw or lotus they wont stop and will spin out every corner

here is my setup with the lotus,i got the poll with this setup, then the race was a wet race, and i cruised to victory by 23.53 over hamilton. I also was awarded the achievement clean sweep for getting the fastest times in each sector during qualifying.
Let me know what you guys think after you try it.

good set up for mclaren ferrari or redbull but for hrt bmw or virgin complete crap i moved the brake balance onto the rear 48-52 and it brakes better with this mod i got a 1:35.358 but the aero and gearing ratio im not to sure bout for bmw its slow at getting the speed up in 6/7 gear

new TT world record! 11/19 world records now LOL, thx to Bortz that said that you have to change the engine to Fast manually!! I have always driven with standard :), anyway here comes the setup, and I have it on video too, will upload it on youtube soon.

Just made the most stupid setup ever (first time) but I somehow set my quickest lap on it by over a second!

Like I said, a totally bonkers setup and if you know anything about tuning (unlike me) then this will most likely make you cringe but it somehow worked for me - especially in Sector 1.

So if you're in a slower car (Lotus/HST/Virgin) and can't get it right with the setups near the front then give this a go.

great setup viktor, thanks for sharing it.
Could get a 1:31:472 (in a normal qualifying lap) with a Red Bull in carreer mode - expert difficulty ( no assists allowed). That gave me the pole position and the win in race afterwards.
But I must admit that 1:23:xxx in time trial does not seem to be a very `real`laptime - though we see them in psn leaderboard. I dont know how you guys can get almost 10 secs below the real laptimes. That looks buggy

Agreed, the Viktor Andersson setup works much better for me than some of the other setups. Pace is good and it doesn't suffer from the same understeer that the first few setups do. Still, I'm absolutely terrible in sector1, but that has very little to do with the setup and all the more with my driving skills.

Hi all, I haven't played F12010 for a while as I had a problem with it playing on on my xbox. Got that sorted now. In my second season in career with Torro Rosso, having left Virgin after 1 season. I wasn't looking forward to Silverstone as I remembered it being a bit of a nightmare last season. I don't think I finished the race.
This season, rather predictably, I trundled around the track finishing 24th in the first practice session. There just didn't seem to be anyway to get more speed out of the car whichever of the default settings I used. I was doing high 1:39s and getting frustrated.
Then I decided to have a look here. After trying several setups I eventually found one that allowed me to do a low 1:37.
I was impressed over two seconds off my previous best :)
Over final practice I was able to get this down to a low 1:36 and mid field respectibility.
But it gets better! In Q3 i managed a 1:34.70 (on the options) which allowed me to post pole !!
I actually finished 3rd in the race.
So I would like to say a big thank you to Viktor and his absolutely awesome set up. It sure worked for me

Modified Viktor's setup a little bit (red part)

with his setup, i was struggling to find grip throughout the circuit, especially 'maggots to chapel' corner sequence :(

i'm using XBox 360 controller, with Mercedes i was doing ~1.30's, with Ferrari i did a 1.29.xxx

the cars just dont down-shift, turn 1 it stays in 7th :p
