Modified Viktor's setup a little bit (red part)

with his setup, i was struggling to find grip throughout the circuit, especially 'maggots to chapel' corner sequence :(

i'm using XBox 360 controller, with Mercedes i was doing ~1.30's, with Ferrari i did a 1.29.xxx

the cars just dont down-shift, turn 1 it stays in 7th :p
best setup!! 1.29.4 on first try

Silverstone is a fast track but still you need medium till high downforce levels (fw 6-9 bw 1-3).
Putting the balance to the front like 80-20% and make the front suspension stiff
and the rear softer for responsive car and a high traction. Keep the middle gears short
so you can accelarate quick. The chamber, just do what you lke the most, the tyre wear
is already high so it doesn't make a different.

Top speed 343 on the straight after maggots.
Primal: 1:31:1xx Lap 17/26
Option 1:29:2xx Lap 26/26

So tonight I sat down to practice Silverstone (to finish the last of the track guides) and found out that I hated my setup! I read the entire thread narrowing things down to 8 setups that were popular.

I ran 10 laps in GP mode with the Sauber. Tyre sim on and fuel sim off (to keep the laps consistent), no assists using a logitech Driving Force GT wheel (bungee corded pedals). side note: the brake on my Fanatec clubsports died, I am stuck waiting for parts so I can use them with my GT2. The DFGT is doing fine, it's just got terrible pedals.

Anyway here's how I made out:

Steve Stoop
(modded from Viktor)
1:32.290Fast, high downforce. Seems to be setup for sector 1
Fahad Gaffoor1:31.935Fast and my favorite. Just enough downforce to be fast in turn 1
(there is a big lift though) but not so much that I was slow on the straights.
ReflectinGodhttp://www.racedepartment.com/f1-2010-setups/38719-silverstone-great-britain-dry-2.html#post6184121:33.319Ok, but there was lots of understeer for me which is reflected(pun) in my laptime.
Dave Holmes1:32.619Pretty fast medium downforce no complaints
274AU1:33.359Too much downforce and gears were very off, couldn't make a fast lap
but copse and abbey were quite fast
Dan Fraserno timesimilar to 274AU so didn't bother noting my (slow) laptime
Stuart Malaskeno timenot as bad as 274AU but still slow

Thank you Fahad Viktor and Steve for your setups!

I used the setup first listed in this topic, and it worked quite well, but i still seem to have some oversteer in fast curves. Does anyone know what the problem is, or how to solve it?

Did the race in 100% and this setup worked pretty good:

Fuel load for 26 laps lapping 1:32s on the primals
Fuel load for 16 laps lapping 1:30s-1:29s on the option

Fastest lap with this setup is 1:29,293 option, 1:30,749 Primal

This works good in both dry and wet Online all sims on. Best in dry Q is 1:27.9xx even lower is possible. Best in wet Q is 1:29.9xx. Quite simliar to the previous setup I put up here earlier I think but Im not sure, but this I know works good at least :)

found this to get me a 1.36.6 i think and that was good for pole.

I gave this a quick run through, and got a 1:32:058 with ease. Nice set up, although braking into a corner could have a little more play into the steering side of things, other than that, 9/10!
