I know its probably against the rules in one way or another, but is it possible for me to continue my official times (after my BSOD last night) from SS8 tonight? If you have a look at the times you will see that from SS8 onwards its all skipped. Really sucked. Great rally though! Even though I may not be driving the greatest car hehe

I think that is because Rallyesim considers your retirement on one stage is your retirement from the whole rally - provided you ran the last 4 stages your times will have been recorded - think that is correct but Senad or Norman will no doubt confirm this.

Pete

Cheers for your reply ^^
we'll see what they say, would be nice to get some good times so I can get a better car class but if it must be, I'm not worried. just sick of the FF cars lol.

Nope, sorry Jack - if you leave the session, for whatever reason, that's the end of your run for this one.

But on the bright side, once you've done three rallies (either RDRC or club) you'll achieve Grade 3 and you can swap to something more... chunky!

cool, no problem! I think I've already done 3 club rallies (escort, grim reaper, celica) + this round so far, does that make me qualify?
Sorry, I am completely new to this ^^

That was a certainly different rally for me... I tried to do my best but in the end I see lots of room for improvement. SS1 I failed massively by taking a slight false start because my clutch pedal wasn't calibrated, and the rallycross stages I just slid too much and was really slow. SS2 was very thrilling, I almost rolled over and almost hit a tree twice. Looking forward to the next rally :D

Came into this event with no practice and feeling rather tired so it was never going to be my best performance frankly.

SS1-5: Nothing major to report and some rather lacklustre times. A few spins on Limbo, but no damage.
SS6: Holy moly that was tough. Rolled the car in the dark in the middle, got disorientated and started going off in the wrong direction at first, losing a chunk of time.
SS7: Went ok until the fast section where I span and completely failed in my comical attempts to turn the car around.
SS8: A lapse of concentration saw me run into a tree a hairpin and cracked the radiator. Nursed the engine for 7km until the stage end.
SS9-12: No major dramas.

Quite pleased to have had no retirements or calls for help (although there were some close calls), but my pace was lacking so on most stages I was among the slowest of the finishers.

Crashed on SS2, went through the trees, and couldn't get back on the road. Was driving up and down the trees for a while, but there was no gap to go back on the road. Got annoyed and retired.
I'll continue for now, but it's looking grim.

EDIT: Scratch that, I'm out.

Had a great run tonight with no CFH and No DNF's in any stages. Nice consistent run with only one small oops tapping a tree in SS7 which caused my clutch to slip which was weird as there was no body damage, but I only lost a second or two over the length of the stage.

A very enjoyable rally and some great stages. Thanks to the admin team for another great event as always your work is very much appreciated.

Replays are HERE if anyone else wants them, as well as stage times, also posted in the replays thread.

Cheers Al

This was a very nice set of stages and mostly quite enjoyable. Some were pretty tricky with the weather variations, and I agree with others that Limbo was great.

My Rally started with some drama.
SS1, The game loaded the stage, but I had no engine sound. Had this problem once before and it ended with a blue screen crash, so things were looking grim. I tried a few things like pausing, unpausing etc but to no avail.
So ended up driving the first two stages with no engine sound, wondering whether to just quit. :frown:

During the first Service, I unplugged my headphones and replugged it again. This resulted in my Teamspeak freezing. So, I quit TS, crossed my fingers and went to SS3. Bingo, engine sound was back.

Now I could concentrate on the Stages but couldn't chat to the others. Sorry guys. :sorry:

SS6 caused me problems but not what I had expected. Entering the fast 6th gear right hand kink about half way, one of the spectators ran across the road right in front of me. Yep, I killed him, costing me lots of time.

All other Stages went ok with only a few minor mistakes, but I managed to finish them all without damage.

So, after a very dramatic start, and fully expecting this Round to be a write off, I managed to claw back to a reasonable finish in the OC Session (3rd I think  ).

Thanks to all the other guys in our session, and again, apologies for my TS absence during the Rally. At least I was able to chat again after the Rally. :)

Yes, that Limbo stage has very good detailed road surfaces. Very nice job there...

My rally got started with a good solid drive up and down a mountain in France. Went allright but hit some bushes here and there.
Limbo came on so it was time to smash the throttle on this boulevard of speed... Also not bad. Car is in shape, i'm in shape.
Give me more!

Second pass through Bisanne (SS03) I knew where to brake for some tricky hairpins. But i forgot about some deadly outrunners from the mountainside on the right... It lifted my car up in an easy right hander, and off i went into a field through the trees.CFH, No harm done to the car and some helpful spectators solved my little problem... For the rest a nice hairpin stage. I love it! Took the gamble and saved the replay!

Second day was full of horror though, retired from one of the stages when i tried to find a new wet pace. Hit a tree and oil started leaking...

The second pass on Joux Verte 2 (SS10) was a good one! Full of rage liquids running through my veins i came down the mountain... It helped and i had alot of very nice corners, scandinavian flicks all around me. until i came across the open plane with some faster corners in.
I took one too early, shoved the car over some rocks and the rear end started jumping, until a roll catched the jumping rear onto the track again, on its roof though... CFH (took another gamble and saved this one)

finnished the rally pretty good, with a drift special stage to top it off.

Very fun rally and i need to than alot of you: Norman, Warren, Senad, Rick, and the guy who made Limbo!!!

TX!

Fantastic rally for me, Finlay getting to grips with my new handbrake and shifter and felt a lot more confident than the last rally.

SS1. Even with my new found confidence i was still a bag of nerves while awaiting the start, took it really steady which was a good call as a few times i almost went off but my slower speed helped me stay on track, finished 10secs of my pb but still took the fastest time in season.

SS2. Absolutely love this stage but with the few small errors on SS1 i again drove safe again finishing some 10secs of my pb, but still fastest.

Service. Surprised to be leading which gave me confidence for the next stages.

SS3. 2nd time through was a lot cleaner and 5secs faster than SS1.

SS4. Bit of a theme going on here, 2nd time through and felt a lot better and 5secs quicker.

SS5. Fantastic little stage and a great challenge to get all 4 laps clean and with only 1 small error i was 4 secs of my pb but happy with my run.

Service. Amazingly at the end of day 1 i have a 30sec lead in season and set out on day 2 to preserve my lead and drive safe.

SS6. The dreaded night/wet stage went really well finishing with no mistakes and only 4secs of my pb.

SS7. Thankfully i wasen`t under pressure for this tricky stage with all the down hill approaches to the hairpins, but was able to drive a nice clean stage.

SS8. Had a nice start to this tricky wet stage, but in the downhill section i had my 1st of track excursions but thankfully nothing major and apart from some minor body work damage i got to the finish very relieved.

Service. Now with some 40secs lead and only 4 stages to go i was feeling very good.

SS9. Didn`t fancy SS11&12 with inters so took dry tyres and really pleased with my run.

SS10. With the thought that 1 mistake could undo all my hard work and so close to the finish, i took it easy again and had a really nice run with no mistakes.

SS11. Really enjoyed this run through, having the right tyres and a healthy lead i pushed in some places then realy easy on the tricky bits and finished with a nice time.

SS12. Final stage, had no need to push and could afford to drop a few seconds, so took it nice and steady and felt huge relief to finish.

I think after this rally i have finally got to grips with the WRC car and feel that i can continue to do well for the rest of the season.

Huge thanks to the RDRC staff for yet another great event and looking forward to the next rally.

My rally was much improved over last week. Only 2-3 big mistakes and one CFH. Ran mostly clean the rest of the time at a comfortable pace. Not lighting the world on fire, but anything more and I would have been forcing speed, which is where I run into issues. So I went as fast as a I could without pushing, and it was hard not to push since Troy was really whoopin up on me. :) Just ran my own race and tried to stay as clean as possible, so I am happy with my rally.

Thanks to the organizers for a great rally!
