Hunsley takes pole
Williams driver Jack Hunsley has taken the pole position for the final race of the season, the Japanese GP. Being 7 points behind current championship leader Engberink, who will start from 3rd, this was important to keep his hopes alive. In between those two is Utzer in second, who once again proved that the Stewart is extremely fast on one lap. In 4th Poirier, followed by Rautavaara, who in the last couple of races finally managed to get some speed out of the car. In 6th Foro, only a tiny bit faster than his teammate Keranen in 7th. Diehl in 8th ahead of the two Ferrari drivers who complete the top 10. In the last two rows Ancevski, Lintner and Wolf, who were all clearly beaten by their teammates.
