you all have something in common hardware wise and its that you have a nvidia 9000 serie and that i have a nvidia 8800 GT (512 ram) so one of my guess is that the new patch might have a problem with the nvidia 9000 serie graphic card. i have 2 other guess that might be worth testing, the first one is that i run with the default setting for my graphic card in windows so if you have change them might be a good test to put them back to default and test the game. the other guess its the anti virus that your using, i'm using windows one live care so if your running something different try to disable it and test the game.

Same issue here, running on XP Home, 9600GT.

My card is NVidea 9800GT.

Unfortunately i am in the same shoes as Warren and Jari, since the last patch i also have this freezes, 5-10 secs, when it comes back everything is normal again for me, "only" the freezed time is lost... also updated drivers, played with graphic settings both in Windows and ingame, nothing helps. Running Vista 64 bit, 9800 GX2, and usually even at max settings i have fps above 200...

New patch freezes solved!

The secret is in the config.ini.

Open your config.ini and look for these two lines:

SYSTEMRAM=0
VIDEORAM=-1043
It seems Race 07/Evo does not detect these properly.

Change those numbers (in megabytes) to reflect your system. In my case it should be this:

SYSTEMRAM=8190
VIDEORAM=1024
Because I have 8GB RAM and 1GB video card.

I have not had any freezes since I changed those numbers.

*note* Every time you re-run the video options config.exe, the config.ini goes back to default, so you will have to go back and change those nunbers again.

Can someone advise what I should set mine to.

Currently it says:
System Ram: 2047
Video Ram: 674 (a strange number??)

My system is:
Ram 3GB (2.44 GB Available) I actually have 4 GB RAM but it is limited to 3 GB since I'm using XP.

Video Card RAM: 512 MB

The config.ini numbers don't look correct but I'm not sure what to put there??

I would put 3072 for system RAM and 512 for video RAM.
