Automobilista 2 | Racin' USA Pt3 Released & Changelog V1.4.3.3

Automobilista 2 keeps expanding on its already huge amount of content. After releasing the first 2 USA DLCs, this third part finalises the saga (for now).

Owners of either this new DLC or the season pass will be happy to realise that the following 3 tracks will be waiting for them after downloading the truly massive 3.7GB download.
The 3 tracks included in the DLC are
  • Indianapolis Motor Speedway
  • Auto Club Speedway
  • World Wide Technology Raceway (Gateway)
Included are not only the oval layouts but also the infield layouts for you to enjoy.

Another thing that was added with this update was a historic version of Spa-Francorchamps. If you own the Spa DLC then you now have access to the 1970 layout of this classic Belgian venue.

Same here, and I won't reinstall the game to try this update. I gave up. Like in other sims is happening, core of the game needs a lot of work, but probably some studios are too tiny to accomplish the mission in time. I'm very dissapointed with Reiza and I won't support them in the same way next time. I was expecting an almost complete game with content to come, not new content before some core improvements like MP or just such a career mode or something that encourages you to drive it more than hotlapping or casual racing with your friends, pity. LFM could make the difference for ams2 if multiplayer was ready.
This is a topic about the latest update v1.4.3.3 when you didn't even installed and tried this update then what's the reason about the mud throwing here?

You also can appreciate what a small studio like Reiza achieved for now and they will bring us more in the future.

No, it's not a strange comment.

I've tried god knows how many options - just tried it again, actually, and still, the camera/view is bouncy.

I don't like it - I can get on with pretty much every other sim out there.

I can configure every other sim out there - but AMS2 is different.
It's not a lack of the sim its a lack of the user. MadDriver11 gave you some very useful tips, but you don't want any help I assume.

Iv had an install/uninstall relationship with this game ever since release. Each update hyped up for no good reason. Good for those that enjoy it. For me its just bang average at best. Nothing special, no enjoyment and even after a race I do not wanna return to it :(
As long as you can find other Sims that you do like it’s not a problem sometimes it’s just not going to click.

I think ACC is a completely soulless experience and can’t understand why anyone woukld play it over RF2 RRRE, AMS2 and even AC but it’s incredibly popular so good luck to those that enjoy it.

Ohh my god.

What part of 'tried many many settings' don't you understand?

I have previously asked for help - got help - changed various settings - and still can't find what I would consider acceptable.

And as for the '..lack of the user...' you know nothing about me - this comment saus more about you than it does me.

Take a look at yourself.

Bloody AMS2 fanbois are poison.

Awesome pics, as usual, but the size of that indycar strikes me with shock in the 3rd pic! Was that thing really that huge IRL?
This would have been the 'Camera Lens' perspective when I used a wider angle lens in Photo Mode.
A Wide Angle Lens fits more into a shot plus you can move closer to the subject matter, the trade off is that the foreground items, in this case the Gen3, will look bigger.
If I zoomed back more and then used a longer Focal Length Lens and zoomed back in it would have made the cars a little more proportionate by flattening out the perspective, to a degree....as the foreground car will usually always look slightly bigger.;)

That reminded me of one of my biggest gripes, which I cant understand hasn't been sorted in nearly 3 yrs.

You can launch a one off multi class race in single player and the classes are scored separately.

I built a IMSA knock off like series in championship mode.
Used real weather, dates. Time from 2020.....just to launch the first race and find out the entire field was scored as one with no multi class scoring.
The DPI class scored all the top 10 positions leaving the GTE & GT3 class with zero.

It makes no sense that single player races have the capability to score multi classes but championship mode doesn't?
I suspect / guessing that this particular problem is not high on the priority list...personally I think it will get fixed at some stage.:whistling:....it's a long, very long term project and I'm willing to wait and go along for the ride;).
In the mean time while I wait, there are plenty of other Sims that keep me occupied.:)

Just when I think yes, I'm definitely going to buy AMS2 next time it's substantially on sale - I read all this and think no, maybe not. The issues read very similar to the things that have been annoyances in RF2 for many years... and though I've put vastly more time into RF2 than anything else, and have enjoyed a lot of it, I'm kind of ready to move on. AMS2 seems like the logical successor in terms of a multi-discipline sim that could cover just about anything I feel like driving/racing. I know nothing is perfect and these things are never really 100% "finished", but... ugh I'm worn out on the cycle of add/fix something but oops it broke something else. Sounds like I'd just be buying into the same thing with AMS2. I dunno, I'm back on the fence.
the comments here are not really representative. it's a loud minority. As is youtube / twitter. my advice is try it out for yourself, play your 2 hours and if you don't like it, get a refund. make your own mind up about stuff like this, people with strong opinions will always voice it everywhere

There is no point for a personal insult. Just what you gave as reason: " The cockpit camera is still a shaky, bouncy vomit inducing bizarre experience" isn't true with the right settings you have a stable camera.
Maybe you tried many settings but probably not the ones you needed.

I'm sorry - you started with the personal insults - not me.

Stop messaging me - I have no interest in continuing a discussion with you.

Agreed on the ACC part too boring for me and no character. My issues with AMS2 has been the broken AI since Hockenheimring Pack 1st DLC.

Thank you Reiza for yet an other update. We are a long way from what this title was at launch. It is getting harder to criticize and easier to enjoy.
I just spent an hour at old Spa driving classic F1. To me that combo alone is the best available in any other sim I own and might even be worth the cost of entry of buying this sim.
Well done.

Thanks. Sorry for posting my opinion. I’ll keep my feet out of here. By the way, I paid for the game as “backer”. 100 euro. But probably that means nothing for you. Sorry anyway, won’t happen again.

Any progress is welcome in my book. I enjoy what AMS2 has to offer, and that's quite a lot. Is it perfect(?), of course not. Will it ever be, of course not but show me one sim that is. Treat AMS2 like any other WIP title, enjoy what it has to offer or don't. Easy.

I have hopes and expectations for AMS2 too but, I play them all and they all leave me wanting in one way or another. It's just the nature of the virtual experience. It's really hard to live up to the real deal.

Great to see another update for AMS2, but for me - not today... :)
Dunno, but setin'up FFB for low-budget wheels (esp. fo my G923) - is a pain. Over update to another update, for 1.5 years tryin' - and I can't say that I like it. I tried all what find: Reiza forum advices, custom FFB - and I still can't figure out the perfect setup. FFB is weak and without feedback - or sharp and strong so that my steering wheel rattles like a rattle from any sneeze.
But why in ACC, R3E, in AC - FFB works and feels normal for me? Don't know, don't know...
Maybe it's all about "Reiza-feeling of FFB".
So, "see you in the next updates!".

Evidently there is a small group of people who no longer play the game as they don't like it, who just wait until there is an update so they can state they no longer play the game and don't like it.

Maybe. :D It is in the News though.

Full disclosure - I don't like it and have never liked it. :D *ETA - [I blame Madness]

I'll admit leaving a bit underwhelmed by the offering here, but only a bit. Having Indy is worth the price of admission alone for me, and while I wish Motorsport Games (I use both those words loosely) would hurry up and fold already, it's a drag that Reiza can't get modern Indy cars on here.

Old Spa would excite me if I were a classic racer, but I'm not. Those who are shouldn't be disappointed.

I don't think AMS2 will ever be a multiplayer factor. By this point, I just don't. But I love it for what it is, which is a sandbox-style racer with fun aplenty for the AI racer. I'll never take it as seriously as I do ACC, but to me that's not the point. The point for AMS2 is to pour myself a drink, find something fun to drive and go at it with the AI. No sim has had more growth, in my opinion. Leaps and bounds have been made in physics, AI and breadth. As sim racing grows, more people jump in the pool with less than quality in mind (I'm looking obviously at Motorsport but also the future of F1 games.) I mean, F1 Manager had a shelf life over quicker than teenage sex before they stopped doing updates. Reiza treats AMS2 like something they're proud of, and they should be.

The big thing for me was how bad the physics were but with this update the cars feel absolutely fantastic to drive. It probably helps that they added a simucube profile and now I’ve got the ffb dialled in but I never thought they could get the madness engine sorted out enough to have the physics feel up to the standard of their previous work, with this update I think they’ve achieved that!
