Rough night for me. Worked hard on a setup, and posted it. Managed a 1:32.4 in practice, but tagged the wall in quali for a 1:32.9, and ended up third to last. Than got a terrible start, slowed to avoid Marcel in T1, and was second to last. I chased down Eric, and managed to pass him entering T1 after a few laps. Nice battle Eric. Then I ran away from him for a bit, and folks made some mistakes, and I ended up cruising along in 3rd place for much of the race. Around lap 23 I lost concentration, and stuffed it into the wall in the chicane at the top of the hill:disapointed:. I punctured a tire, and damaged the suspension. I went in for new tires, and made an error in the Pit Menu, so it did not fix the suspension.:shame: Out in 5th, and managed a pass, and also went by someone who spun, and was back in 3rd when I stuffed into the same wall again!issed-off:

I almost collected Morgan trying to get out of the wall.:shame: Sorry Morgan! I had to go in for another repair session, and came out 7th. Then I ran a few more laps well, and caught Eric. I passed him exiting Turn 1, and then overcooked into turn2 kissing the wall. Eric was right behind me, and could not avoid me. He tagged me into the wall again, and the car was not repairable. No hard feelings Eric. Nothing you could do. If I had not kissed the wall in the first place, everyone would have been fine, so it is clearly my fault.

Overall, I just could not keep my concentration for long enough. Early on I ran very well, and I was pleased that I could run reasonably fast laps, and made some nice passing maneuvers. I was also pleased that my best times were reasonably competitive even in a low powered FWD where I have the least experience and skill. But, I killed myself with stupid mistakes at the end.:disapointed:

Ah well, that is life. Great event Yves, and thanks to everyone for polite and fun driving. See you next time. Yves how about some more GT action??!!

I don't know if I can make it to the race as my PC crashed yesterday (Hardware failure) and I really don't know what caused the crash and when I will be able to get the spareparts...sorry guys...I was really looking forward to race with you again.

Yeah - my thoughts too after I picked the Mustang

I'll give it a quick spin tonight to make sure it's not death on wheels - if it is, I might alter my choice to something slightly easier to handle, and therefore less destructive to those around me. I'll probably stay with the Porsche, but the Mustang is giving me pause

There was recently a patch installed on the servers to allow up to 30 people in a race, was that patch causing problems or would that be an option here?
