WTCC 2006 - Brno 06

Brno is popular with both fans and drivers, and you can always expect great battles all around the track when the WTCC cars visit the Czech Republic. It's a wide circuit with many overtaking opportunities.
The circuit is built in a natural bowl which is banked in places to offer spectators an excellent view, this also means that Brno constantly changes in elevation as it sweeps across forested hillsides and its fast undulating corners really test driver talent and engineering to the limit.

The track features many slow to midspeed corners with varius radius, and demands a setup that's well balanced at those speeds, but still able to navigate the very fast sweeping first turn. Exit speed is key, as almost all corners lead to a potential overtaking possibility.

The 2006 WTCC event at Brno was held in front of a record crowd, the largest for a car race since the new circuit was inaugurated in 1987!!

First practise behind for Brno, this is done in practise mode, missed last sector a little and lost maybe few tenths there. Hotlap replay attached. Might need to give Leon a serious try aswell

I've download and seen you Repaly.. Funiest thing to me is.. that it doesn't look like a 2.10.. I'm not say it isn't but when i look at the replay of sander i go's much faster.. and then i mean really faster... so :)

Hehe no problem, lets try another way then. At the risk of people thinking I'm bragging here I did it in Time Trial instead, looks that TT is quite a lot faster atleast for BMW. TT file attached with laptime of 2.10.041. There is 2.09 possible in TT, but my setup is quite radical and most likely times will drop when its time for race online.

]when i am online i can hit only high 2.11-s (if i can still concentrate...), but usually low 12-s, while offline i can more easily manage low 11-s, even with a PB of high 10.

Anybody has idea why....? Ok, i know from myself, that offline i can concentrate more, less disturbing factor, but can it count that much...? I make my offline times in Practise mode, all settings like in the RPM server (tyre wear, fuel usage, weather etc.)

Hello Neo, if you do use Practice Mode and if I understood what Practice Mode is.....there's the answer. Yes, you are alone and your concentration can be 100% on your car and the track: no opponents to watch in mirrors and no cars to reach but more than this....in Practice Mode track and tyres temperatures are pratically perfects just two turns before you cross throught the pit lane.

So, it's impossible to have these optimal conditions in race or in qualify.
