My Races

Thanks for allowing me to race with you guys for my first experience of online racing with Race 07/Evo. It was fun and fair while it lasted. :good:

Confusion at the start as I joined at 7pm expecting to go straight into practice for race 1. Turns out there's an hour of practice going through the various tracks before the serious stuff starts.

Race 1 - Zandvoort, qualified last out of 22, finished 20th (last of the finishers). I had a pretty lonely race at the back after managing to hang on to some of the back-marker battles for a while. Main thing is I didn't take anyone off and I finished the race. At the end I was trying to finish on the lead lap but the leader (Dariusz Swiderski) just caught me on the last corner. Apologies for almost taking you out on the final straight. I think you were staying behind me to let me get the full allocation of laps in but I didn't realise it at the time and ended up braking in front of you with contact just before the line (I was just getting my 3rd blue flag warning at the time).

Race 2 - Silverstone, qualified 19th (I could have made up several places if I'd just managed to get closer to my offline best time). Feeling confident about making a better race of it I joined the start only to have sound problems. I escaped back to the main menu to see if that would fix it only to discover that I couldn't get back in. Doh. GTR2 lets you rejoin the grid up to the last seconds, I didn't know Race 07/Evo was different. Doh.

Race 3 was going to finish too late for me so I quit out (I'd expected a 7pm to 10pm ish set of races).

Nice vid Keith - so it was you I had a nice couple of battles with! (Damn you were quick!)

When you went off at Surtees (Race 2), did I actually hit you? I wasnt sure during race and it doesnt seem conclusive, either in your replay or in mine, I just know I didnt have time to react
