F1 2013 Upgrades in career mode?

Hi, I am half way through my first season with Williams and my upgrades are still locked out. I'm not doin too bad either, I have roughly 75 points and am about 7th in the table. Anyone know how or when I get to use upgrades or am I missing something. I remember the last time I played in F1 2010 you were given an R&D objective in some of the qualifying rounds to achieve upgrades but I don't see anything here. Any idea? thanks

Maybe it depend on what level you are playing at, because F1 2013 definitely has RD objectives.

The only thing it can be is if you are not racing long race weekends. This means you must do full Practice, Qualifying, and Racing, as the RD is done during the Practice session.

When you tell your engineer that you want to go to the track, in that same menu will be the option to do the R@D

Ahh cheers man, thank you very much. I thought the objectives were given during qualies but now since you mentioned it I remember they are done during Practice. Nice... long weekends it is. Tnx again
