Hey guys the update just landed . besides some good fixes and optimisations they have given us 2, yes 2 new cars..
The lotus Exige 240R and (the one we all was waiting for ) the Ferrari 312T

There is somethink wrong with tyre wear. I Burnout for over 10 min and my tyre wear was only 96%? My temp went to 696 C and 136 psi.

The tyre model isn't totally finished as of right now.

It used to not go below 98%. at least it's going down more

What does 98% actually refer to though? Does it mean you've lost 2% of tyre diameter? If so that'd be quite significant wear no?

I wonder if we'll ever get flat tyres?

I thought it was grip level. So you have 98% grip left. What I saw last night was the car was starting to lose grip on the soft tires on the mp4-12c at 95%. Still usable but not optimal and I will have to learn how to adjust to that.

Aris said that we will Apparently we already have temporary flat-spots, but once we unlock the brakes, they go away.....so it's half implemented

Soft tires are barely used because of this huge drop off after few laps even in real life, they use them for Q more often then races.
I can do a 10 laps race but my times went down of about 2-3 seconds, while using the medium compound I get best grip from end of 2nd lap and remain pretty constant during the 10 laps

There's tiny less grip already at 99% Couple tenths slower per lap.

I was just trying out the mp4-12c GT3 for the first time on the Nurburgring f1 since getting my wheel back. Was running the stock setup. I knew the stock uses the soft tires and have yet to fit the mediums on there. I wish I had more time to put into this sim! It's just got so much depth and it still is missing tons of known and unknown features.

Yeah the medium GT3 slick is very close to soft at 100%(and more stable), so I'd test the car with mediums and then hotlap with the softs.

The track I've put the most time into with both was mugello and I found the softs too grippy for my setup. I loved the mediums. I'll give the mediums a run of I get time later on tonight.
