STCC - The Game (pre-release thread)

On this site they say there is a STCC game coming. RACE 07 + STCC as a game or only STCC as expansion pack.

Sounds very interesting. Let it be true

SimBin has under the spring visited all circuits and all test days collecting information and the game is currently in full production, with a continued documentation of the cars taking place on Knutstorp this weekend under the STCC premiere.

And to make this in cooperation with STCC and their professional concept only makes it even better, Roos continued”

Simbin will be at Knutstorp this weekend with their big simulator park with fifteen simulators in use that will be test driven prior to the season. The goal is to also let spectators drive an early version of the Knutstorp track.

The game includes the Mercedes.

I have noticed the wing is in the wrong position on the Peugeot - but I take it they could sort that in a patch?

Race 07 and GTRe didnt disappoint me. I hope STCC will be as fun as predesessors!

Is is just me that finds the Volvo skin a bit off, whatever though it'll soon be replaced by some great skins by Jarrod & co.

Yes, looking at it again - there is something that doesn't look like I expected - but I can't work out what it is. Also the front of the S60 looked very boxy in the pictures. The Merc isn't actually a Merc as well - looks like they have had to make a generic car up to replace it in the game. It looks a bit like the Chevrolet

I visited Elkjop this afternoon. They had the game in the shelves, but only the full version with Race07 included. Price was 399NOK (48 EUR), so I'll wait for Steam too.

Just had an email saying that my copy is on its way from Megastore, so considering it has to go through the UK before it comes here and that Guernsey Post are not very good with parcels, I'm not expecting to see it until Christmas!

(It will probably arrive next Tuesday I would have thought)

I had to order the full version including race 07 which is a pain as I already had the full version of GTR Evo as well, so I'll uninstall GTR Evo for now and donate it to my brother and then wait for the GTR Evo expansion package (The STCC game interest me a lot more than GTR Evo) to become available.

I mostly use the Offline version unless I do any of the online races on racedepartment so I wanted to get the offline version of the STCC game anyway.

Yes I would prefer to have a box, But with the looks that it "might" hit steam tommorrow, and the fact Id only wnat the addon and not the full package. I think for a change I'll bide my time.

It should do (I hope it does otherwise I am screwed).

When you install it you should be able to choose what language you want.

I am at work at the moment - but thinking about it, I think my version of GTR-Evo was German as Tesco delivered it to me about a week before it was finally released in the UK. I will check when I get home.

I recieved the DVD boxed version in the mail today. It's installed through the DVD and steam.

Everything is in English, including the printed manual and in game voices and text - a source of criticism from a Swedish review I recently read.

Maybe someone will make a mod? First time using steam for me. Felt like a little kid installing steam and then downloading the game at 10,000kb a second. Now off to have a racy day!
