Round 15: Seriously Not Serious Club

That's is based on Abdul's idea from here. I will update the first post with everyone's laptimes. Each round closes on Sunday

The server is set with 7hours of qualies.

You are allowed to change the setup.

Server name: RACEDEPARTMENT SNS
Password: usual club password.

Cars: 06 WTCC SEAT Leon
Track: Limerock Mountain
Weather: Dry

Basic rules:

Whoever is the fastest at the end of the week picks a car or track to run for the following week
Whoever finishes last picks the track or car for the following week.
The same person can't pick the track/car 3 weeks in a row. In the case that occurs, the 2nd line will choose the mod
Tracks and mods have to be either game default or located in RD's download section

If you don't own RACE On then don't join the events we organize for it and join the GTR Evo events. But having to read the same old "this sucks" all the time because people don't upgrade gets annoying.

Those 'reasons' happen to be financial reasons. $25 for a game (add-on) isn't really in the budget when I already have GTR Evolution.

Understandable, but there is a big group here that thinks different and did purchase it, and would like to race it online too.

BRam, I am sorry if I caught a nerve on ya. I just thought it was worth pointing out that its not just a RACE ON forum in name or content.

In many respects I think that GTRE/race 07 is really losing its place at RD since RACE ON became a reality. I realize its a division of resources for an audience that hasn't grown exponentially and it is what it is here at RD.

I don't have RACE ON currently. Am frankly considering RFactor or RBR also and am watching to see what SIM provides USA time based events I could enjoy.

So dont be mad! I have no doubts you have a ton of RD folks who are tight for $ in a bad economy near Christmas and they are voicing their thoughts on ya. I wouldn't want your seat for all the tea in China! Well if I could just try out the PINK FRO maybe..................

Mythought was if you can get the track and car for the SNS event then you invite MANY MORE drivers as your audience is larger!

Dennis: IF downloading a single track and car is a problem, well then how have ya managed to enjoy RACE 07 /STCC/ GTRE this long? I guess the public servers and off line events are good enough? mmaaaaaaaah you know thats not true.

So merry Christmas gents! At least we have a place to play a game with friends and guys who put in a ton of effort for our enjoyment!

I understand, naturally you would want to race your new game online, but there are 2 servers currently up for Race On...none (aside from this one) for GTR.

Aw come on Eric, you know I've downloaded every car and track put in front of me. I even have the Escort mod and Limerock Mountain has been on the HD since forever. Since RaceOn though, I can't see how to run the car as only one Escort shows up on the class page. Um, yes I do hit the public houses for a splash of fun when there's no party here at RD.

I was just thinking of those less forunate, that don't have the room on their machines and have to delete a prized car mod or track so thay can be running a current event.

I hope they get the server up quickly, my wife is taking me out of town in the middle of the week and I'd really like to drive one of those two cars for as many timed laps as I can before I go!

Eagerly awaiting the server up status. I apologize for starting the off-topic-ness. I just really look forward to the SNSC each week-ish since I don't have a consistent enough schedule to sign up for a league.
