OK, so FanBoost as it is seems to be unpopular. So, here is a different way of seeing it.

Updated FanBoost rules
Each driver will be awarded 2 FanBoost tokens. Each token allows you to have a FanBoost bonus of 2 speed. This only applies to the races they are awarded them, as it is removed before future upgrades. They can be used in any championship race, but only one can be used at once.

I have never even looked at the GPGSL thread, and I have only ever heard about it from other users, so how can I steal an idea that has never been mentioned?

If you're blatantly using their rules (which, might I add, quite clearly you are not), then you've taken their concept, which they'd get angry about.
