RD Formula Pro Series S4 (rFactor)

After all the discussions, I decided to keep everyone better informed on what we are planning for the future. As it stands now, we are already thinking about some changes.

1. Shorter seasons to keep everyone focused. 9 races is too long IMO. It is hard to stay motivated and focused that goes for drivers and the staff (I am tired:)). Most likely we will go back to 7 events from now on. At the end of a Championship people should want more races instead of being glad it is over.

2. Take another look at the points distribution.

3. For the last time, we will use RACE Mak-Corp mod for season 4 (Sept~December 2010). Tracks and dates are still undecided. Several factors will influence that choice: 2010 RL F1 tracks, track is legal, track has not be run in season 3, etc.

4. I will not run season 4!!! As some of you already know, I am taking a 4months sabbatical from real work and RD work. I will be traveling with my family and friends throughout Europe (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Netherlands are on the schedule for now). Dave, Ivo, Ryan and Will will run the league! I have full confidence it will be well done!!

5. We WILL switch to rFactor(2) in 2011. No mods or details have been decided, but we will also try to form some kind of partnership with FSR.

6. We are considering charging a small entry fee, but it is still completely undecided. The money would be used for the broadcast, servers, etc.. We will use it to make the league better. As of now, me and a few other people cover all the expenses. That money will not be used to buy prizes!!!

That's all I have for now... We will keep u updated when more info comes along!

1: Q will be a open one of 25 min
2: The tyres are are free of choice
3: When you set a time in Q. Some things in the setup get locked, so you cant change them anymore for the race.
What you still can change is:

Tyres
Front wing
Brake Pressure
Brake Bias
Boost Mapping
Engine brake mapping
Steering Lock

The most important thing is that you have enough fuel onboard to do Q and race (depends how many pitstops you do offcourse :))
So for example you are planning to do 3 laps in Q. You need Race fuel and fuel for those 3 laps and a little for the Formation lap. :)

So maybe i've miss read this but it seems you have the carry your race fuel throught qualy (F1 Q3 last year) , is this right?

Will wre be Refueling or not during race.

2009 rules. So you still need to refuel during race.

Yes you Q with race fuel. :)
For example you want to do a 2 stopper and use 70l to your pitstop. You need to calculate that before the Q. So you do your Q laps and still have 70 liters left when the Q ends for the first stint. :)

FPWS S4 - League Info (Start here)

League: FPWS
Season: 4 (2010)
Number of Drivers: 30
Number of Teams: 10
Game Required: rFactor (v1.255)
Mod Required: FSONE 2009

Welcome to the fourth season of Formula Pro. For the first time in the league's history we switch to rFactor and the magnificently detailed FSOne 2009 mod from International Pro-Modding. Slick tyres, double diffusers, narrow rear wings and more mean this will be a very different challenge from the previous two seasons of the Formula Pro Series.

30 drivers will do battle over seven races at full Grand Prix race distance, on a fortnightly Saturday basis, with season ending just before the Christmas period, testing both patience, commitment and concentration aswell as outright pace.

The season kicks off in Europe at the twisty arduous Hungaroring, 70 laps of maximum concentration. We then head to two fabled venues, steeped in history; first, north, to the fast sweeping Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and then, south, to the even faster circuit of Monza.

Then we leave Europe and head to the Far East for our next two rounds. First, the wide, floodlit streets of Singapore, followed by the narrow high-speed sweeps of Suzuka in Japan.

We jet around the world to Brazil and the characterful Interlagos for the penultimate round, before ending our season at the most expensive racing facility in the world - Yas Marina in Abu-Dhabi.

Race Schedule:
Practice: 19:00 GMT
Qualifying: 19:30 GMT
Warmup: 19:55 GMT
Race: 20:05 GMT

Incidents, Investigations and Penalties:
Please remember, the League staff will only review the first lap of each race as standard procedure - any other incidents must be reported before any review will be undertaken.

No report = no review.

Please try and remember the incident reporting guidelines: review, cool off, review again. Only after following the above process, and if you are convinced you still need to report it, should you let the league staff know. Please give as much information as possible during the report (time of incident, drivers involved etc.)

Any accusations or complaints aired in the chat during or after a race will mean a penalty levied on the person complaining or making the accusations, even if a subsequent official complaint gets found in their favour. We simply will NOT tolerate any post race finger pointing.

Racing Rules Addendum:

Parc Ferme: Parameters adjustable after qualification:

-Tyres
-Front wing
-Brake Pressure
-Brake Bias
-Boost Mapping
-Engine brake mapping
-Steering Lock

Launch Control: Launch Control is mandatory at the start of the race. Failure to use this and causing a crash before turn one will result in a penalty.

First lap penalty: If a driver causes an incident on the first lap of the race resulting in a major damage to another car, he will start from pitlane at the next Grand Prix.

Blue flag: The driver receiving the blue flag is responsible of moving out off the racing line and give way to the lapping car as early as possible. In most situations, the driver receiving the blue flag will be deemed at fault in case of an incident with a front runner unless the incident is caused by the lapping driver's negligence.

Making contact from behind: In most situations a driver causing an incident by making contact from behind will be found guilty and penalized (a blue flag situation is one of the exceptions).

Formation lap: Weaving is allowed during the formation lap until you reach the final sector (the beginning of the final sector will shown by a League Admin in the race thread with a screenshot).
It is strictly prohibited to do burnouts or brake testing during any part of the Formation lap!
Formation lap will be checked by the League Admins after the race. Failing to follow this simple rule will result in a penalty.

Graphic options: We recommend to test the mod first with 30 AI cars to see if your system can handle the graphics. If rFactor crashes. First lower the opponent detail if it still crashes lower some other settings.

Track/RD FSONE Version:

We will use SimSync PRO software to manage the delivery and update of Launch Control/Cars/Tracks. We will announce when updates to the server files have changed, but it is recommended that you sync on every race day as a precaution. As downloading may be involved it is best to do this in plenty of time before the start of the race.
