#1
Driver(s) Involved Ronny Haehnel / Bono Huis
Lap/Replay Time Q / Spoon/Crossover/10:48
Protest Description Haehnel Is in 6th in qualifying and is on a new hot lap (9th lap on replay) He is heading into Spoon where Huis is in front with some space. Huis slows down in the Spoon corner to allow Haehnel to get slipstream from him heading out of the corner and onto the crossover straight. Haehnel gets slipstream of Huis all through the crossover straight and through 130r, before Huis pulls over to let Haehnel through right after the 130r corner. Haehnel’s use of the slipstream helped him jump up from 6th position in qualifying to pole position.

Review: Hähnel is on his flying lap exiting Spoon when he comes across Huis, who is on an outlap. Huis doesn't slow down at all, instead he goes full throttle up to the apex of 130R before pulling off the racing line and letting Hähnel pass, giving Hähnel a significant slipstream, resulting in Hähnel taking pole position.

Verdict: Pitlane start penalty for Bono Huis & Ronny Hähnel.
#2
Driver(s) Involved Fredrik Nilsson, Jaakko Mikkonen
Lap/Replay Time Lap 1, time 4 min 57 sec -4 min 59 sec
Protest Description Mikkonen is on the outside of Nilsson going into 130R, but runs wide and has all four off track when overtaking him, thus gaining an advantage since he gets the inside line at the braking point in the following corner.

Review: Mikkonen passes Nilsson on the outside during the run down to 130R. Mikkonen runs wide in 130R. The passing move was completed before the corner, running wide in 130R was a seperate issue.

Verdict: Nothing.
#3 - Appeal successful
Driver(s) Involved Disley, Nilsson, Mikkonen
Lap/Replay Time Lap 1/5:05
Protest Description Torrent Motorsports are protesting against Fredrik Nilsson and/or Jaakko Mikkonen for the incident at the final chicane at 5:05, 1m32into lap 1 of the Auto GP WC Japanese Grand Prix 3/10/10. Fredrik and Jaakko entered the corner, and Fredrik ended up on the anti cut. This turned his car around and Blair had nowhere to go, lost his front wing, front suspension damage, and David Greco had nowhere to go either and gave Disley rear end damage. We believe this was an avoidable accident by Fredrik or by Fredrik getting squeezed by Jaakko. Blair Disley qualified in the top 10 and therefore was taken away the chance to score points. Even 35second repair all did not fully fix the damage.

Review: Nilsson and Mikkonen are side by side entering the final chicane. They remain side by side for both of the corners, Mikkonen does not give room at the second corner despite Nilsson having his car clearly alongside him. Nilsson is forced on to the inside curb which beaches his car and triggers an accident.

Original Verdict: +30 seconds to race time for Jaakko Mikkonen.

Appeal Verdict: Racing Incident.
#4 - Appeal successful
Driver(s) Involved De Wit, Mikkonen
Lap/Replay Time 10:06
Protest Description De Wit, makes a sudden change of direction while heading to 130R, then on start/finish straight he changes direction again while Mikkonen is passing him, causing an avoidable collision with Mikkonen.

Review: Mikkonen is in the slipstream of De Wit heading for the finishline. De Wit moves over slightly at first, then when Mikkonen makes his move, De Wit makes another move to try to block him. As they are side by side heading for T1, De Wit moves over again, touching Mikkonen's car.

Original Verdict: Pitlane start penalty for Patrick De Wit.

Appeal Verdict: 0.5 Penalty points for Patrick De Wit.
#5 - Appeal unsuccessful, Verdict stands
Driver(s) Involved Lee Morris vs Marco Conti
Lap/Replay Time Lap 52 - 85:32
Protest Description Lee Morris hits Marco Conti in the left rear making him go almost off track and he didn't gave the position back.

Review: Morris is trailing Conti while they are heading in to the hairpin. Morris brakes too late while apparently attempting an overtake, resulting in a contact with Conti. Both run wide in the corner but Morris takes the position and doesn't give it back.

Verdict: +30 seconds to race time for Lee Morris.
