I had a poor quali, decent race with some good action, and nearly caught Patrick with a 20 sec lead down to 3 secs at the 2nd last corner ran out of gas.

My thoughts on this race....narrow track + High powered cars vs. high cornering speed cars = mess.

I like the idea Ross, but it only breeds accidents. My opinion we need to stick with one car type per race, or at least cars that are event match in HP/Corner ability.

Here is a link to a video I made of the race. Pardon the sound, I am having issues with sound recording in Fraps ATM. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

There are some limits however! I only do defending maneuvers that are safe, if I can't do it that way, I don't do it! I really had to hit brakes very hard more times! F.e. when you spun at back chicane there was a huge space for overtaking, I've gone into it, then you crossed my way while you were still very slow due to the spin, and I had to hit brakes so hard I almost spun myself into the wall. It could easily end with a crash!

I still can't understand you! Please check the replays from my view (chicane accident), and check what can I see in the mirrors......:disapointed:

Hmm that was a short and sweet event.

Race 1:
Couldn't find my flow tonight, maybe it was the track not sure, qualified 12th. Race went ok, had a few offs but managed to pull my Cortina home in 8th so at least I made up some ground.

Race 2:
Qualified 14th out of 16 - the 'Vette is a beast, especially with a pad! Had a decent start and made up a few places including getting past Ben in the faster 'Vette. Heading round the lake and coiming up to the tight left hander and I got a rear wheel on the grass and went sideways into the barrier, shattering my engine, bummer!

Hope the rest of you had a good race, this wasn't as good as Goodwood to be honest, track was a lot longer which might have been why.
See you all at the next one.

Andy

Had a fun Race1 in my Alpha but seemed to have worn out the tyres very quick so cant wait to see the replay of my last few laps cornering!

Race2 was giving me a headache trying to keep the porsche on the track so i quit before my brain exploded!

Enjoyable night tho once again. Thanks.

Race 2 - 911RSR

It took until the last minutes qual before i really got the hang of this car and was stunned with a 2nd place start,i nailed it off the line nicely as well,i was always waiting for the big flying backwards style offs i was having all through practice and most of qual, but it never happened!?...i ended up really enjoying the drive and became quite comfortable, cant wait for more of these old beasties, such fun they are!.
Thank you Warren and RD and all my fellow gent racers :) .

As I thought I'd not be at home this evening I did not sign up for this event. Fortunately I was able to join the 2nd race and it suddenly became a fun evening! ;)

Race 2 - Escort
First of all: I tried to take a car not many others would be driving.. so took the golden (slowest) one and was surprised that two other drivers had chosen the same one. So I dis- and reconnected in the blue one.. in the end there were three blue ones and one golden Escort. Sorry, should have let it as it was.
Started the race in 4th and was able to get up to 2nd place after the first corner thanks to Warren testing the grip of his rear wheels on the Capri. I don't know what was the problem tonight, but I was unable to really concentrate on driving so I spun and crashed several times. Sorry if I was a problem for anyone else.. once I guess I hit Warren as I put in the wrong gear while breaking for the hairpin - sorry mate!
All in all I managed to finish in 3rd as several other drivers seemed to have struggled about the same (or even more) as me - special thanks to Stuart for the grass moving in the 2nd last round :p

Thanks for organising yet another GTL event, I like these!

Nice races for me,

Race 1: I start 5 and manage to catch Warren at the beginning when i brake on the grass and spin. I finished 3 rd with the fastest lap.

Race2: i start 3 and manage to catch Gary, i came back at 3 second when i spin and bump the barier. My steering wheel was a little forskydes and i lost more place to finish 8 or 9 .:disapointed:

Thanks all and the staff, another very good moment
