Just now ran my first ever laps on Mont Tremblant. ...
HOLY CRAP MAN!! This circuit is no freakin joke!! .. It's like a paved rally circuit!
I can't believe they actually race(d?) F1 here. Wow.
Helluva circuit. I like it!!
set that fast bump and rebound LOW LOW LOW!!!
you can check out my setup if you like =D ... ... I wouldn't mind input on it either ;)

Yep, in 68 and 70. In 68, 22 cars were enetered and only 6 finished. in 70, 20 started and only 1o finished. So I guess the track was bumpy as heck back then too!

Indy also ran here. 67 and 68 sanctioned by the USAC and again in 2007 under Champ Car sanctioning. From 02-05, Grand Am ran a six hour race here.

Yikes, what a comeback

While my 3G connection behaved alright, I barely had time to practice - and I paid the price for that. Actually managed to put in a few good laps in P1 & for Quals putting me in P4 but I was lacking consistency. Screwed up T10 in the first lap putting me back a few places, but it was T7 a few laps down when I was a tiny bit too fast, hit the grass, spun out and damaged my suspension & left front tyre as well - tried to make it into pits but the car wasn't that steerable anymore which led to me hitting the wall in T10, damaging the car irreparably and leaving me with my first DNF at RD ever :(

Here's to hoping for better times - Thursday's internet day. Hopefully. Now back to spectating - there was a fairly nice battle going on between Arne, Arunas and Andreas :D

Edit: live coverage time! :D

  • Pit stops put a bit of a gap in between the "Triple A" group and pretty much everyone in general
  • Ouch, Nelson just hit the wall in the first sector puncturing his tyre, too - it's gonna be a long way back :(
  • Andreas seems to be gaining some time on Arne but still has Arunas lurking a few seconds behind him
  • Dennis is slowly getting closer to Blaz, will the remaining ~10 mins be enough?!
  • ..Matthias might have finished the race already, by the way - he hasn't been seen by other drivers for quite some time ;)
  • Dennis is now within 2 secs of Blaz while P2-P4 are still a few secs apart each. Sadly, Nelson has since been forced to retire from the race
  • Both Arne and Andreas have just lost a few seconds while lapping David, but neither having a real advantage, so I guess that's fine :)
  • Andreas is now really close behind Arne now who managed to catch his Chevy just in time after hitting some grass on the hill
  • (very likely) final lap!
  • Matthias wins!
  • Arne saves P2 with Andreas going into the last two corners too fast, spinning and finishing in reverse gear!
