We have a fresh, new way of reporting and punishing incidents in the Racing Club, using an infractions system - read more here

You are actively encouraged to use this system - we like to keep driving standards high - so if you feel you were wronged in any way during an event simply send the event organizer a private message detailing the incident including a youtube video. Do not post reports/accusations in the thread itself - negativity and anger gets us nowhere.

My third disconnect in as many races. I am seriously getting bummed out. I was having some connection speed issues so I upgraded my service about 2 weeks ago. since then I have gotten dropped from every race I have joined. Is there some setting or something in steam that I have missed? I get a new computer on weds, so everything will get reloaded, and I am going to go get a new modem tomorrow. I have never had trouble before so it is starting to bug.
On a lighter note, I hope you all had a great set or races, I am sorry I missed it.
Cheers

Funstuff Gents! Had a great race 1 battle with Jesper and keith. We all traded lead slots while Glenn just flat out embarrassed us big time!

The 3 of us pit together and leave together and I get the ever lovely STOP N GO! dammit............finish 7th

Meanwhile Vincent shows us how to manage a race rather than race each other and wins it on fuel mileage! first time I have EVER seen tthat here at RD! Well done Vincent!

R2 have a fun race with Willie and Glenn upfront but we know we are racing for third on back as Jesper has joined the KAN PARADE. Apparently he didn't quite manage it like =Vincent and He drops P2 to Glenn and limps across the line out of fuel.

GReat stuff guys! Really enjoyed these cars on this track! NExt time, it's 30 minutes and we race it on the cars not the engines...LOL

It was an interesting nite of racing for sure. Upon practicing at 5pm today, like many others, I find that fuel mileage on these car doesn't seem to be able to run this race flat out without a pit stop. However, according to the calculation it was very marginal. So I thought maybe I will try a different strategy for fun. I did several long runs, pit stop trials, tried different setup with different driving style. Finally I found a way to finish the race but have to use a slower setup and take a slightly different line into the corners. I figure if I can manage without the pit stop it will be better as I am never good at making pits stop, especially at KW Speedway. So I took the gamble, hoping my managed pace can match the front runner in the long run... and end the end I was lucky.

R1 I must have caught the front runner completely off guard as I was able to pull out a healthy margin after all the pit stop is done. I even have more fuel left than I thought. So in R2 I tried to push harder at the beginning. But after a while I notice I am using way too much fuel so I start to be more cautious from then on.

Was fun guys. Thanks.

You know the old saying: "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while." My 'nut' was a setup that was pretty quick. Took the pole and then led Race 1. Pulled away from the group and got out to a 11-12 second lead. It turned out that pit stops were going to be the strategy with these cars and everyone did their stops... Except Vincent. He conserved his fuel and didn't have to make a stop. Without having to stop, Vincent won by a huge margin. I finish 2nd.
2nd race went the same way. I hung out with Willie, Eric and Eric for the first 5-10 laps to see if the fuel savings would be worth it but it didn't help enough, so I set off to try to build the biggest gap i could in case Vincent had track troubles. He didn't. And he won again. this race Jesper hung back with Vincent, but he didn't have the same luck. I managed to get by him going onto the back straight of the last lap for another 2nd place finish.
Brilliant races Vincent!
