@ João Andias

sorry for the bumper tapping dude, and as for the straight, I just tried to defend my position.

I also bumper very hard into a guy from behind very hard in the corner right before the last tunnel. Sorry for that, even if I dont remember the name. He took the inside of the corner and went very slow, I went wide to collect more speed so I could pass him. Sorry dude.

but I enjoyed the race, even if it couldnt go no more worse for me, Im happy, very exciting race.

after the puncture and pitstop at race nr 1. I went out of the pits and had to stop because I saw 2 racing side by side at start/finish line, after they passed me I was so mad because of the puncture, that I passed them even if they overtook me with 1 lap and kept pulling the car to 110%. great and exciting race

Well glad to have finally made it back into a race. The last couple of weeks have been full of internet connection problems and lots of O.T. at work, so I definitely spent most of the evening scraping the rust off.

Qual: Came into the the event without any practice, so I was expecting the worst. Luckily by qual time I had found a setup I was comfortable with and landing in the middle of the pack at P8 (P7 after Gary was disco'd at the last minute).

Race 1: Got a strong start and moved up a position or 2, then avoided an early mishap to gain a few more. Luck was not on my side however, and I dropped a rear wheel on the grass and was sliding for what seems like ages. I apologize for any heart attacks that this may have caused :) Luckily myself (and I believe everyone else) made it out unscathed from this and I went to work chasing down Peter. I repeated this wheel-drop/chase down about 3 different times and finished in P8.

Race 2: This time I had a poor start starting from pole, and lost several positions from the start. Again, I touched the grass on lap 1 and that set me back to mid pack. I also found myself chasing down Peter and Michel again, which was going well until I yet again touched the grass, although this time I spun into the sand. This cost me about 10 seconds which put me right in front of William. Him and I had a nice back and forth for several laps, each making our own fair share of minor mistakes. We ultimately had some contact as William noted (no problem, racing incident). I touched the wall ever-so-slightly and ended up with suspension damage. Fought the car the rest of the race and spun 2 or 3 more times. Was battling with Michael G. for the last few laps for P10, and unfortunately he slowed up early heading into a corner just as my suspension finally gave out, and I collected him. I limped home in P10, but I don't think Michael was so lucky. Sorry again about that :(

Overall P8.

The funny part is that I’m becoming damn fast typing in English… wish might help as I’ve a thesis to deliver by October both in Portuguese and (most likely) in English too :wink2:

I know the posts are too big, but I try to write them in a way that permits everyone to read only what one wants.

I don’t like simracing with boots, so I like to read everyone point of view regarding a race… it doesn’t matter, first or last there is always an history.

And no… no one is obliged to right a comprehensive race report. Being this an international club (wish for me BTW was imperative in the club selection process), I know people have different levels of racing passion but also (and more importantly) different levels of written English.

I did a few laps behind you, I think in one of the practice sessions… are you playing out of Lagos (200Km) (Algarve)?

I’m playing from Lisbon, my ping to you was slightly above 100ms (110 I think), wish is high but kind of funny since I’ve lower pings to Amsterdam/London (2500Km)!?!

I see we have here some wine enthusiast… when I go back to Spa, Assen or Zandvoort I might take a bottle or two of Porto region wine… but don’t get to fancy, a reasonable Dão is sufficient for you northerners. :D

No worries bud, watch out for those Thai Ladyboys tonight bud.....

My secret is out :excruciating: Best stop taking my hormone :pill:'s :laugh2:

jarp, i had this aptly demonstrated to me this week. i'm now a reformed eventpoaster.

Mr Powell wanted to sign up for the last two events but by the time he gets home from work all slots have gone :laugh2:

Unlike me, work from home when I can and a part timer :go-away: So I'm told
