Online Lag Problem

Hello guys

I play GTR Evolution now for 1 week and i have lag online.
I always see other drivers shocking online but my friend says thats its me he always see me shocking and not someone else.
Is it maybe because i use a router?

but its very weird if i play live for speed i never lag its only with gtr evo and race 07

Live for speed is an old game, with an older GFx engine, its not going to hassle your hardware or software. gtr evo and race 07 are newer and will need more to power them along

Try a few things and post again

but why could my sound driver be the lagging part?

Are you setting up your own server when you lag or do you have it in all rooms you join online?

i have done an download and uploadtest
and this are the results
Downloadspeed:3496 kbps (437kB/s)
Uploadspeed :787 kbps (98.4kB/s)

Can you avoid the router and plug it in directly on the modem and see if it works better that way?

If possible have your isp come to your house and run some signal tests to check your connections and wiring. I have cable, but think they would do the same for dsl... My pings were fine, but there was some signal attenuation and interference with the connectors and plugs inside my house so they replaced them all and now I have very little lag. I still disconnect my router when I play online though...

I use these guys for testing my upload/download speed and they have servers in Europe...
