Online Lag Problem

Hello guys

I play GTR Evolution now for 1 week and i have lag online.
I always see other drivers shocking online but my friend says thats its me he always see me shocking and not someone else.
Is it maybe because i use a router?

yes that is good but i think you have to run it several times to see if its constant

i`m affraid i`m almost out of ideas m8.

have you checked all your leads?
is you router plug direct into the phone socket?

only other thing i can suggest is to post more info on your setup, ie: router make/model and anything else you might think important.

3rd party applications like adobe and steam will download all the time if there are updates. Also windows media player will download pictures for your albums too.

Then windows update, downloading in the background, or if you play WoW it could be downloading.

However I had a small issue like this ages ago which only occured round corners, turn out to be the onboard sound

Thats no problem

Do you have steam installed? Any other games or programmes you are using?

Do you have Norton installed? Any anti virus? etc

Just list them all

i have avg anti virus scanner
but i have my avg scanner and firewall standing off at the moment

Do you have a soundcard such as a creative XFi or is it on the motherboard. Usually bought PC's have onboard sound.

The spec sheet for your PC should tell you

cool, ok to test it you need to switch off the onboard sound either in the BIOS or disable in the device manager then run the game.

If you are not confident with doing either, dont try, you can corrupt your windows biuld if you make a mistake.

Also, maybe try update the onboard sound drivers first?

ok, probably best. Only problem about your problem is it could be more than you can fix, and your supplier will say as its only one game its not their issue. Unless they can advise you on it?
