need to click .exe 5 times to launch ofline ?

is this normal ?
brand new PC DVD GTR evo with Race07.

i need to click .exe 5 times to launch offline .. only when i see the spinning 'CD' icon, does it launch - i see my DVD drive lights light up after clicking .exe.

same with desktop shortcut

I have a similar issue when trying to launch the online version. It's usually only twice for me. Sometimes three times.

i think my DVD drive is the issue [this is an offline issue, as i have not tried online yet]

stuck in my backup DVD drive = ok

nope, not the problem

bought a new dvd drive - different brand, same thing.

WTF ?

it seems to work most of the time if i eject / close drawer, but this cannot be right !

the whole reason i bought the disc was so nothing could go wrong !

can xp be the issue ? i have sp3 installed
