F1 2010 Massive FPS drop

So i didn't play for a week because i was busy placing my computer components into a new case. So today i start F1 2010 and notice some serious FPS drop. i used to play around 30-40 FPS (with puddle fix) and now its around 15-20 fps.
updated Nvidia Drivers. no software changes or hardware changes have been made in the meantime.
Anyone got an idea what could be causing this?

Did you have anything overclocked which may have reset in the move? I know it sounds crazy, but when I put in a second video
card, it reset my bios. I also had to setup catalyst control centre again so maybe check your nvidia settings too.
All your RAM in place still? Got the power connectors on the gfx card?
Tried using the old drivers again? Newer isn't always better with those drivers!

it might be the newer nvidia drivers, i updated mine recently and noticed a fps drop. Although you say that you noticed the drop before the update or after?

I can't play in 3d any more, as the fps is too low and i'm not going to spend any more money on upgrades right now.

It was crappy before the new drivers.
But i fixed it, resetting BIOS settings, turned off some powersavers and it runs smoothly again
