We have three great events for you in the rFactor Racing Club this week. The GP2 2011 cars travel to the spectacular purpose-built circuit of Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi. With the two long straights having a slippery car will be vital and will aid overtaking battles as nay overtake at the end of the first straight can leave you fighting to hold the car off on the second straight. The end of the lap is like a street circuit and will keep you on your toes. The event, will feature two, 20 minute races with an open 10 minute qualifying session before each. Monday sees the Peugeot 207 Super 2000's visit the fictional Grand Valley East circuit. The track was built for the original Gran Turismo game for the Playstation in the 90's and has always been a popular venue. With plenty of undulations, a mix of corners and one long straight heading uphill to a tight hairpin, there will be plenty of action. It has been used several times in the rFactor club over the years and has always produced plenty of wheel to wheel action as can be demonstrated with these videos of the Skoda Octavia Cup race last year:
The event will have an initial 10 minute open qualifying session before a 20 minute race. The second 20 minute race will feature a reverse grid (details are available here). To signup, just leave a message in the thread.
The GT3 mod event this Friday will be announced later in the week. Due to several events taking place for multiple leagues over the next month, the Touring Masters events will return in December.
