How do you change the color of the suits, without changing the whole thing

Hi guys,
I want to change my Ferrari suit but when i click on the paint bucket and click on the picture everything changes to that color. Annoying and i would like to know how you avoid this

In PhotoShop use quick selection tool or manual selection to mark the area you want to paint.
That way only that region will get painted.
You can do that for various parts of the suit.

Where is the quick selection tool? Im crappy at photoshop...

Yeah but then the lines on the suit go away and i don't want that

Paint-shop Pro Photo does that very well.

Even though your thread will soon get locked...but still I'mm giving you a tip.

Open up ferrari DDS file. Hit image tabs...click hue/saturation. then you click on "master" tab....change that to "red".....scroll hue bar to wherever you like to match your color expectation.

Use blend on the new layer you created.
There are different blending options.
You can adjust that according to your your liking.
