Help me please, how to open ports?

I was searching a tutorial on youtube but they explain it with different router interfaces.

Can someone please explain to me which one and how to open ports for hosting a server?

I would have to send pictures of my interface.

Are these the correct ones?

UDP_PORT=9456
TCP_PORT=9457
HTTP_PORT=8098

I can't find a picture of the port set up page for one of those but that doesn't matter as they are all very similar. You are looking for a screen like this

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=port+forw...//www.hkvstar.com/images/a_port_forward_4.jpg

Don't worry if there is not a place to put the application name, this is only there to remind you which application the settings are for. In start port and end \port put one of the numbers and the protocal

eg start port 9456 end port 9456 protocol UDP'

The ipadress should be your machine's ipaddress it should start with 192.168
To get this open a commandline window and type ipconfig , you'll see it listed at the bottom.
Once you have found that, enter it.

That's one line done, you need to do the same for the other 2 port numbers.

(Bear in mind the ipaddress of your machine may change over time , don't worry about that now but at some pint you should prevent the change by making your machine's ipaddress static.)

Once you have completed the changes save and exit
Get your routers ipaddress here https://www.whatismyip.com/

Make sure the server can get though your firewall.

You can check if a port is open here,
https://portchecker.co/ enter you routers ipaddress and the port you want to test.

Try that and see how you get on.

Over here ports are UDP/TCP 9600 and HTTP 8081 when using Assetto Corsa Server Manager.

Depending the Router it should be fairly easy to open ports. Wherever that will be done with your router - like Winston says - you only need to forward these ports to the IP address of your PC. Give your PC a fixed IP address for that matter so you do not need to change it over again. The router then will know, that any traffic from the internet coming through these ports ought to be forwarded to your PC.

Obviously, make sure you have none of these ports assigned differently.

You must have your router firewall active at all times and you ought to set a password for your AC session later, otherwise anyone could join. Windows firewall does not play a role as long you have Windows connected to your private network and NOT public in network adapter->system control->settings (which sometimes happens and causes issues).

With a decent router you can also limit these ports to LAN sessions which is pretty nice as you do not have to create a public lobby on an AC server.

Let us know if you run into issues.

Look this is my user interface in 8 pictures, im not able to open a 8081 http port, when i try to do this it give me a predefined number, in this case is 80. I can only define TCP and UDP ports. Looking at my interface will be easier to tell me if i'm doing something wrong. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HHs2knr_ikroIsepSPt338F1d-KFURuz

You may know this but port 80 is reserved so when you select a HTTP option make sure it's the HTTP and not HTTP Web Access

8081 is UDP (and HTTP). Make 9600 TCP and UDP and 8081 only UDP.

The most simple routers can open port 80 and 8081unless they cannot open anything.

Well, if it's a router issue, then this could be the wrong forum.

You can google all that pretty quick, this is just an example, but if I was you, I would go through this checklist for instance:

http://www.pcwintech.com/common-problems-fixes-port-forwarding

The other thing I wanted to mention is, before I would even consider setting up a public server on my PC, I would test a LAN-Server with ACserverManager first, because if one Computer within the control of your Router could not even reach another Computer in the same house, then I would know it is about routing and firewalls....The error message you are quoting however could simply mean that your router is locked down towards the Internet, which is not a bad thing really.

Hope you find your way, sometimes it is a small thing, but hard for me to help remotely in this case...
