Yep - Bob is right, the cars you can't have are the Opel GT & the Porsche 914. Beyond that, the world's your lobster.

As a first go, the BMW, while slowish, is pretty forgiving, and the Capri is also fairly stable.

The 911 is very arse heavy, so get that out of shape and it's difficult to catch.
The Covette is heavy, not so nimble, but pretty quick straight line
Escort & Skyline are both pretty twitchy.

Well what can I say, quite a lot if I'm honest but I'll keep it short with no waffle.

Another night of thrills, spills & hellrasing fun. Race 1: in the porsche 911 and right from the off everything turned sour. Got a good start only to tap Gary going into T1, sorry mate not my usual style. Waited and from then on the only thing the porsche done well was spining.

Race 2: now in the bmw 2800cs and again a good start and watched the 3 in front duke it out for a couple of corners until the escorts got away and left me and Carlos to fight for the last spot on the podium. Unfortunately all I could do was to put as much pressure on Carlos as I could but never really got closer than 0.5 of a second and he never made any mistakes. Great race Carlos, you seem to have better control over that porsche than I did.

Thanks Stu for another great track choice, thanks to all that showed up, great driving guys & thanks to RD.

My Capri race didnt go as planned really.....but enjoyed the Sammy and Stuey show for the lead :)),Ross going great guns too having some good fun with Carlos.
Next race in the Escort, and its been a while since ive had one of those "instant click moments" with a sim car,but i really enjoyed it from the off,had some right off the telly style battling with Stu who had suddenly sprung to life as soon as the lights changed for start!!,then he got in to all kinds of knots at braking zones and dropped back...no one knows better that feeling, once you spin once, you just cant seem to stop :/,proper stuff while it lasted m8.
Now kicking myself in the shins a few times for not doing a proper car test prior to RDHGP S4 instead of leaping on the 911 bandwagon, for then i would have discovered Dagenhams little darling :(

Big Thanks all there and extra Thanks Stu & RD

Race1) I had a hard time finding a setup that made the Skyline predictable and consistent. I also chose the Avon tires and I think I chose wrongly cuz the car was a bar of soap in the last few laps, could barely keep it on the road, lol. I still had fun with Ross though. You did pretty darn good your first time out with GTL Ross, hope you stick around.

Race2) I was very pleasently surprized with the 911S. It's nothing like the default 911 cars in GTL, this car is easy to setup and easy to drive consistently, just loved it. I had a hell of a time trying to keep Bob away the entire race, he was always part of my rear-view mirror no matter how hard I drove. I am surprised my nerves didn't get the best of me. If that beemer had just 2 more HP I would have been toast.
At some point Bob and I came across Stu who had spun out so for a little while there Bob and I thought we were gonna finish 2nd and 3rd. But not if Stu and the evil little escort could help it. In about 4 or 5 laps Stu drove past us as if our cars had ran out of fuel lol! Nice drivin Stu.

I'm kind of sad that we couldn't get a bigger crowd this time around, I love these eight cars in this "GTC-72" class and they are so much more enjoyable when there's a whole bunch of them spread all over the track and there are little battles taking place everywhere. I hope we get a larger grid for the two remaining events. I might have to step up my "Public Relations" effort lol.

The "going forwards quickly" part of driving wasn't a problem. I was, however, having major issues with the "slowing down without randomly going into inexplicable spins" part.
