carlos. i can't join the race tonight. personal stuff you know.:)
no need to takt things too hard. sometimes ppl don't sign up because they are busy with other things.why do some raes get 20 players and other races get only five? it is a mystery to me too.

the thing to remember about my testing and comparison, is that it's a one time thing, pretty much every race shows the cars are pretty balanced.

That knowledge will stand us in good stead for the future in club events, future leagues etc.

OK Manuel

Those car selections are fine - please just make sure you have all the mods installed (911S, CS2800, Skyline, Opel GT) as well so we don't get clashes when you get into the server. If you don't have a car installed that someone else is driving it can cause issues for us all.

Thanks.

I too enjoyed both races, got a spuuort call from work about a minute before race one started and missed the race...good to watch though. I was gutted too because the beetle/911 looked quite quick.

Race two in the capri was a giggle, even if i spent most of the race waiting for others to fall off and let me past. Carlos did his best to make this happen for me but Lenno came back at up like Lazarus and took a well deserved victory!

Great nights racing and enjoyed every minute of it.

Race 1: In the vette, after getting the lead and holding it until I realised I didn't have enough fuel to make it to the end. This was after I asked Stu how long the race was but during the day when I made my setup I thought it was a 14 lap race. After the restart I forgot to ajust my fuel level and ran out of fuel on lap 15, gutted.

Race 2: Now in the Capri I had an ok start and tried to pass Tom on the inside but nearly lost it so settled into 5th place. After follow Tom for a few laps, he spun it and I nearly hit him but just managed to get by. Now got Stu in my sights but he leaves me on the straight so when he makes a mistake I manage to get by. Now in 3rd and I come across Carlos recovering after a spin in the last corner and follow him for a while until he makes a kamikaze move on Lenno and I now found myself in the lead again. As the race went on all I could hear was that Skyline getting ever closer until 2 laps from the end I out braked myself going into T1 and lenno got by. I didn't mind at all because really it should have been his all along but it was a nice little battle for a few laps trying to hold him off. Nice driving there Lenno.

Thanks Stu for another great night of GTL racing & a big thanks goes out to all that showed up.

P.s. Now bring on the league! How long till it kicks off..um..too long, I want it now...............no I can wait as all good things are worth waiting for. :)

I thought that big slightly ill-behaved Vette was proper fun to slide around in,but it was clear Bob had this one in the bank easily building his lead,it wasnt until very late on i noticed i was somehow in first, but not really my win there on pace...
Race two in the mighty Skyline from pole, but i quietly knew i wouldnt be arriving at T1 in the lead if Carlos hooked his Vette up properly, which he duly did :D....the chase was on but where the Skyline had the advantages there was not really much i could do with it,despite the thing being so good at the final turns letting me close in,but the Vette pulled away so impressive down that straight,i was getting ready for the long haul and pounce when the Vette tyres go bad, which mine oh so certainly did in race one,but i got an early break at the final turn when Carlos went off,now i could fully use the twisty bit in the middle and pull away, lost concentration at T4(tight downhill left) and spun her around in true Lenno 911 fashion, recovered in time to just see a little swarm bearing down on me as we arrived to T5(uphill tight right),i think Carlos was going for the lead taking move and it went a bit wrong with us both off,i stayed calm and objective and pushed like buggery-oh for the rest of the race, excellent duels with Tom and finally with Bob for the lead, again the Skyline being so ferocious at thos final turns helped get the job done ;).
Well done us few who were there, what we lacked in numbers we made up for with enthusiasim and some close racing

Many Thanks Thommo & Carlos & RD

Didn't enjoy the best of nights last night! Race 1 in the vette was a nightmare as i loaded the wrong setup and found i was hitting the limiter halfway down the straight. (the big strong point of the vette gone!) Trundled around doing 1:34's, then broke into the 33's later on, kept it on the black stuff for 16 laps and finished 3rd, which was a surprise considering i was the slowest out there!
I thought it was going to be better in race 2 with the 911, but i just couldn;t help spinning out, and myself and Manuel swapped positions for the entirety of the race. (one lap i spun, the next lap he spun) It was close at the end but he snatched 4th. Hopefully the escort & skyline will be better cars for me next time!
Also, i think it's time i bought a wheel, xbox360 pads just don't do this game justice!
