F3 Sudamericana 2012 Season

I am in the process of recreating the 2012 season for F3 Sudamericana.

According to Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Formula_3_Sudamericana_season

There are only 8 cars in the series, but 15 drivers. I cannot decide on how to run the series...

1. put all 15 drivers in the season with 15 cars?

or

2. keep the season/races as realistic as possible and just have 8 cars with the top 8 drivers from the actual 2012 season for each race?

How would you handle this?

I was able to input all the drivers who participated in the 6 race weekends for each race with there perspective teams. I was also able to take out all the default teams and drivers for F3 (making a backup of course). I then put all the created drivers/teams into separate folders for each individual race and put those folders into the MODS folder using JSGME (JS Generic Mod Enabler.) So when you choose a quick race you are able to have the correct drivers racing in that particular race.

So now I created a spread sheet to keep up with each race weekend and point totals throughout the season
