F1 2013 F1 2013 - Unwanted Steering Assistance

Hi Folks!

I have found an issue where F1 2013 automatically provides Steering assistance. I couldn't work out why I was putting in the same amount of steering angle in 7th gear corners at 280kph as I was in hairpins at 40kph

Then after some quick research I discovered something that wheel users must do (not sure if its selected by default. Mine wasn't). In the controller options, MAKE SURE you select 'Override input device type' to be 'Steering Wheel'.

It has changed the game for me. Loving it now. Totally different game...

This is a bad workaround, except if you like input lag.

I hope for you guys' sake they fix it soon, because it sounds like it's unplayable like this.

So glad I didn't get it right away, unlike the previous 3.

I don't have any input lag actually and it only seems to be on the Suzuka track that I get the weird jerking motions mid-corner, so it must be something in the suzuka track file !

Yeah, from within the game.

I only asked because Vsync stops this wheel 'kicking' with the G27 (at all tracks), so it would have been worth trying on other wheels that may get these strange kicks.

Obviously as you do use Vsync, it can't be that

What if the override is set to "off"? I can't tell the difference between off and gamepad setting...

Edit: Actually, I've just tried it again and the car feels more responsive on "off" than on "Gamepad" setting... Steering wheel override setting is just to responsive for me on a gamepad, even if I lover steering saturation to 0...
