After 3 years of work, Enduracers and the Gentlemen Racers are happily releasing the 1st package of the Endurance Series mod for rFactor. It will give you the chance to simulate the best endurance racing experience ever seen in a video game. Cars from ALMS, LMS and the Le Mans 24hrs are scheduled for this mod. Audi vs Peugeot, Aston Martin vs Corvette, Porsche vs Ferrari...

For this important mod EnduRacers has chosen to work in packs. After the initial release including the mod base and first pack of cars, Enduracers will release frequent "Service Packs", adding new car models, sounds, physics and skins. That is why the mod can be classified as "evolutive" and will live and grow continuously after the initial v1.0 release.

Don't forget to read through the readme carefully, you will find a lot of important information in order to use the mod in the best possible way. Don't forget that the mod is very big, and that this is endurance. Don't judge it by doing 2 laps with 1 car, take your time to learn it and really appreciate it.

@Marc: will SP1 also include a physics upgrade for the excisting cars? After the first season of RDLMS I can only conclude that all cars really need more grip or at least something that catches that nasty slip exiting a corner.

Looking forward to all the new cars.

Did anyone have a problem with rfactor not starting after installing the mod? I've tried twice and got the old 'rfactor has encountered a problem and has to close' box. When I have removed all the files rfactor will start again. I have tried twice with the same result. A bit frustrating as it looks so good!

Some improvements have been made on the SP1 physics development, and it will be transfered as well on the v1 cars yeah, but then it's not always a problem of grip, it can be a wrong setup, it can be the driving style (remember thoose are not renault clio !!!).

HI,

Never seen this problem appearing, or maybe you've installed it wrong, maybe you don't have the last rFactor version ?

Ahh I think you may have the answer there Marc. My version is 1.150. I havent played rfactor for a couple of years and only been drawn back by these fine mods in the last two weeks.
Thanks.

There does seem to be an issue with the tyres - sometimes the cars will instantly spin coming off a corner even with very little steering angle and throttle. Its inconsistent though - doesn't happen that often and usually seems to affect the P1 cars. Even with the diff power % down as low as possible it can still happen. Using TC on the cars that use it in real life tends to stop the problem, but it can still catch you out randomly. I usually get it in 3rd and 4th gear corners which you have to accelerate through.

Very much looking forward to the SP1 update though :)

Simracers,

Today's EnduRacers crew is proposing you to be involved in the developement of the Endurance Series mod. Indeed, even if we spend mutch time and passion in delivering you lot of real cars skin paint shemes within the release of our packages, we don't always do them all for all cars and all years.

This is were your role start. If you're good skinner and want to spend some time and your passion and play a role in the mod developement, you can now do it ! Create skins coming from the carlist we will release and send them to us. Our team will validate the quality of your skin, add it in the mod and you will be added to our mod credits list. You can choose what you want in the lists, only quality matters.

The skinners that deliver us the most beautiful realisations may eventually be contacted by the team to provide help on new models in creation, if there is a need for it. You are free to spread the information on other forums if people are interest in. Registration on our forum is NOT mendatory for it. First car involved will be announced soon, other will come later on. More possibilities will come soon.
