F1 2013 Controller not working in game.

Hi guys. I've recently bought F1 2013 but I have not been able to play it because of a problem with the controller in the game.

When I went to set up my controller, everything worked fine, as in I configured the controls to the buttons I wanted on the controller.

But then, when I went out of the menu and into the actual track, none of the controls would work.

I'm using a playstation 1 controller with a USB converter. This exact controller/converter worked for F1 2012. I have considered the fact that maybe the controller is the problem, but it's bugging me that it works in the "Controller Settings" menu so something must be up.

If you guys know what the problem is and/or know how to fix it, that would be very helpful.

Playstation 1 ?!?!?! Why would anyone use a gamepad without triggers for racing games? I can only hope, you have already sticks ...

Buddy, really, come on. Grab an xbox 360 controller for racing's sake.

Yeah, it's the PS1 controller with analog sticks.

I'll grab an Xbox controller yeah; I was just surprised that the controller worked for F1 2012 and not for 2013.
